With the development of technology and human society, immense quantites of imformation is accessable to us.In this condition, the speaker contends that the media, as well as the genera society, always expect an individual to  represent a prticular group,even if they sometimes do not truly express the opinions of the whole group.I fundamentally agree with his contension and I tend to have a further discussion about this problem.

To begin with,both of the media and society in general are accustomed to elect a certain individual's ideas and concept to represent the ones of a certain group that he or she belongs to.No one can deny this is an age that people can be accepted ,whether they are positive or passive, an over-whelmingly enumerous of information and thus, few people could accomplished in every field.Under this circumstances, people can only be familiar with part of the world. As a result, it is reasonable,to some extent, that we acknowledge of the whole groups's ideas in the method of investigating individuals who stand in the groups that he or she belongs to.For example, journalists will interview certain audience after the basketball match comes to an end.They consider the audience a representative of the whole watchers, and they believe that the real thinking of the whole audiences would be transmitted by the representative via this interview. It is regarded as the quikeist and comparably accurate methodology to understand a certain group's suggestion and ideas.

Meanwile,it is hard to compile the views of all the people in one group, even though they comform into a certain group on the basis of having some measures of common charactarisitcs.Different people has different views leads to the whole group's views can hardly be expressed by individuals.Still taking the example above.Since the media are usually choose the interviewee at random,the audience cannot represent the entire public or even a particular group.Perhaps, the interviewee is keen of a particular gamer so that  he or she ignores the other gamers' behaviance;pehaps he or she dislikes the winner bank;perhaps he or she does not even look into the basketball match.This subjective factors inevtably result in the unfair reply.This illustrate to us that the individuals actually cannot represent a trully views of the whole group.

In the third,the media,as well as the society, should attempt to avoid arising the unfair phenomenon when they do the investigation.It is advisable for them to conduct a democratic votes and public discuss.Having chose a certain properiate represents, the media need to adopt his or her suggestions and advices;at the same time, the media also should make efforts to dig out the potential deeper ideas and beliefs of the whole groups,this benefits to the all-rounded analysis of it.

To reiterate, to understand the individual's views is very important.What is more, the media and our society need to contact the wider group to obtain their authentic views ,when they just interview the few individuals.To do this, they can dig out a deeper ideas and thus, analysis the exact charactors of this group.
