TOPIC: ISSUE48 - "The study of history places too much emphasis on individuals. The most significant events and trends in history were made possible not by the famous few, but by groups of people whose identities have long been forgotten."

History, which records the past of human beings, is to human beings that memory is to an individual. To make the history more comprehensible and directly perceptible, historians have pained much attention to study the outstanding figures in history. However, in the name of a global section, a balance of the study of famous individuals and the research on large groups of ordinary people is significant.

The study of the outstanding persons in history is no doubt necessary since they are the representatives of big events. As is known to all, the study of history concentrates on those revolutionary events and motions. And as human beings are social creatures, almost every motion of society has its leaders who can best represent the thoughts of the public. And those leaders have unique impact on the process of the event. Once getting to know their thoughts, one can easily get a comprehensible picture of the event. As a common practice, when a historical event comes to their minds, people are surely to come up with a list of famous scientists, politicians and other well-known figures.

However, the significance of large groups of ordinary people is also vital in historical study. For one thing, they are the undertakers of the events. The French Revolution could never have happened, were it not for the struggle of average citizens and The Great Wall could never have being build without the efforts of millions of Chinese works. While great minds provide their guidance, their thoughts are practiced by the public and finally the practice pushes the world forward.

On the other hand, the famous persons are influenced and, to some extent, shaped by the background of large groups of unidentified people. An outstanding person like other persons is ignorant when he is born and he derives his knowledge from other people such as parents, teachers and friends. Einstein, a famous physicist who propose the theory of relativity and brings a revolution to physics, once said the influences of parents are crucial in forming his interest for knowledge. He recollected that when he was seven years old, his father bought him a interesting gift, a clock, which was new invention at that time. This clock greatly inspired his curiosity. This illustrates that by learning the background of famous figures, their success is more comprehensible.

Furthermore the evaluation of famous person depends on the condition of the society. In fact, the criterion for famous people depends on the background. A person is famous is for he does better than others. Newton, another physicist about two hundred years before Einstein who laid the foundation of classical physics is regarded as important as Einstein, though his theory is proved wrong by the theory of relativity. In short, famous figures could not be judged extracted of the context.

In conclusion, the famous figures and ordinary people are interacting with each other. The study of ordinary people would be deviant and hardly comprehensible without the study of famous persons, while the research on famous persons would be too abstract to be possible if there were no the study of the background.

第一段第二行的paid写错为pained了;
第三段法国大革命和长城的并列处最好有断句;
第四段段尾落脚在小闹钟给爱因斯坦以激励似乎有点跑题,应强调大批人;
倒数第二段感觉应该写伟大人物是顺应广大人民的意愿的,应该从与环境有关过渡一下,否则不够切题;
总结部分把groups of people和ordinary people等价处理似乎有偷换概念之嫌。
不过限时写作这样已经不错啦,加油!
