Ever since ancient time, human beings never stop the process of exploration. Ever progress humans made/made by human is based on skepticism so that we achieve a new level where/that(这个我不确定) our ancestors never been/achieved. Question/Questioning what we are taught seems so important for the accumulation of knowledge and therefore make contributions to our society. Meanwhile/However(前面说怀疑的好处,现在说不好,应该转折,不是同时), questioning without the fund/foundation of knowledge may be meaningless because history tells us our civilization was/has been promoting(一直在发展,不是尽在过去发展) promoted gradually.
First of all, questioning what they/we are taught playing a vital role in the process of students' learning. If they accept all the knowledge and ideas from teachers, any progress will be impossibile/impossible. Aristotle, one of the most important philosophers in human(这个可以删了) histroty, once said," Plato is dear, dearer is still truth". His teacher pointed out that all particular/concrete( 如果是想表达具体有形的事务,用这个词)things in this word are just the shadow of the prototype which he called idea. However, Aristotle brought philosophy from the sky to the ground. He studyed particular things and maintained that we can find the truth through all the things around us. Thounsderns/Thounsands of years passed, today we can conclude that Plato just described the idealistic picture for us and Aristotle's empiricism has influenced modern science profoundly. Another example is not hard to seek. We are taught to be a moral person, and the teacher always tell us what kind of action is moral again and again(删). However, sometimes it does not works. If the school encourages students to question that why we need morality, and help them to read brilliant thinkers' book, they will definitely understand the importance of morality.
Secondly, since the students is the future of our society, skepticism will help students and therefore be beneficial to this world. With skepticism, society attained every breakthrough sucessfully in history. Decartes, the father of modern philosopher, used to question what he was taught that our knowledge( ?看不懂了)is correct. It is seems a common sense, however, Decartes found that all things he can find is/are questionable. After years of hardworking, he pointed out his famous theory--I think, therefore I am(这句话牛啊!). This wonderful theory helped people in that age to care about ourselves rather than religious. As a result, Renaissance sprang up(用的很准确), and new society was created. Such examples are numorous. Nietzsche, may be the most brilliant thinker in 19th century, is known for his skepticism. He questioned our morality, our knowledge, our logic, our religious faith, and our(our出现一次就可以啦) future. His theory may be not true, however, he provided a new and insightful perspective for us to understand this world and ourselves. That is to say, skepticism influences our society deeply and becomes the cornerstone of modern civilization. Therefore, students,as the future of the society(换一个位置), should bring skepticism to what they study.
Admettely, skepticism will be meaningless without the fund/foundation of knowledge. If Netszthe never learned logic, the philosophy of morality, how can/could he question this/these issues; if Decartes never been taught, it is impossibile for him to praise human reason for the start-point of our knowledge is religious faith without any skepticism. As Newton said, "if I have been able to see further, it was only because I stood on the shoulder of giants". Thus, before we take another step to question what they/we are taught, students first/themselves should learn well.
To sum up, skepticism is so important not only for their personal study, but also for our future. Meanwile, the fund/ of knowledge is necessary for our meaningful question. In fact, our education is passing down human experience to the next generation. So, without skepticism, we will never break our limitation from the shackle of our empirical world.
二三段都是用来说怀疑的重要性,第四段只写了一点儿知识的重要性,和你开头的观点不协调
