We are making choices everyday, but sometimes people may still complain he or she have no choice but to do something. In that respect, is he or she really suffering the absence of choice? In my opinion, I agree with the author's notion that the absence of choice is a rarely circumstance, and there do not have a situation in which we are force to do something. We have choices, but we did not realize, and that "only choice" is the most beneficial one.

Human beings are confronted with various choice everyday, from whether to get up to a life-determining choice, the fact is we are unaware of them. In a democratic country, every citizen is born to have the right to choose, and this is also a capacity that originated from our human physical and psychological ability to analysis and balancing an objection or an action. All these choices make us who we are, and our future life. Study shows we are making choices more than 2000 times per day, yet sometimes we are unaware of that. In any realm of life, whatever we do, everyone have the right and ability to make choices.

And sometimes we face with the circumstance of absence of choice, but we did not realize that we are just confusing "the only choice" with "the most benefit one " and "the available one". That is to say, before we complain to have no choice, we have already made choices in which we can get most advantages and benefit not only ourselves but also others, whereas we did not realize. Students in modern society have to fashioning after the grown up path-- get into school, take all kinds of examinations and find a job, then we become merged in the society. We choose this procedure, because we have chose to accumulate knowledge, to have a better education, to make a better living, and contribute to the society. Those students seem do not have any choices, because they have already made one between benefit to themselves, or not.

Of course, the free of choice do not equal to we can choose what we want freely without any limitation in a democratic country, our behaviour should under the restrictions of laws, regulations, social ethnics, and the respection to others. So we must not chose to act against those laws and rules, simply because we have decided to be a law-abiding citizen and to have a harmonious relationship with others. Obviously, some people broke these restrictions, due to their choice between the self-interests in a short period and their freedom.

To sum, the absence of choice is very, very rare, even inexisting. The freedom to chose is our right and born capability. When we seem to have no choice, we might not cover the hidden reasons behind that, we have already made decisions -- to adhering laws and morality, to equipped us with more knowledge, to have a better life, and to do our best to contribute the society.
