131 The arts (painting, music literature, etc.) reveal the otherwise hidden ideas and impulses of a society. (艺术揭示了隐藏的其他方面的社会理念和动力)

I agree with the speaker that the arts show the ideas and impulses of a society, and they reflect the deep thoughts of the artists. Meanwhile I cannot hold the same stage with the speaker that the things that are reflected by the arts will otherwise be hidden. Artists lead the same simple lives as the others, I seriously suspect how can they know the hidden part of the society? Therefore arts do reveal the ideas and impulses of a society however which have probably been known by the people at the same times as well.
The arts are activities to create work which express serious meaning of ideas or beauty, and through which artist show their optimism attitudes to the society and life when they were young, then the artists lived in the unexpected society, sometimes they were happy for selling their first works or anything else, and sometime they were sad because of their low position in the society or poverty, anyway what they felt and what they thought would spontaneously outflow into his work inadvertently. As a consequence the works they created reveal the society or even just for describing the society. Take Michelangelo’s David for example, in the Renaissance, the prosper of the society made the people at that time like heroism and make contributions themselves, and David just reveal it and became the symbol of the city.

At the same time the things artists pictured in their works may not be hidden anyway, it may be known by people at that time, but years after the society changes and people get the ideas and impulse of society at that time through the works and they consider the things these works revealed were hidden even in their created time as well, which I think is not correct. Most of the artists did not have a special live or lived to a great respect, and the majority of them suffered from poverty and illness, even some of them got their reputation hundreds of years after their death, how can these mainly low position people got the hidden part of the society and then reveal it? I think the way to explain it is the ideas and impulses is captured in their works, and then preserved. Years after people who study in these works consider the spirit of these manuscripts is hidden just because they don’t know it.
People from different grades didn’t share the same feeling about the world, and the people came from the same grade may be familiar with the artists’ description, imagine that how can you understand the happiness of the farmer after a harvest if you were born in a rich city family, so that theme pictures may be the hidden part of the society to you, but they are not the hidden impulse of the society to the farmers.

To sum up, arts reveal us a colorful world of different people’s ideas at different society. So we can‘t say the part it reveal is hidden just because we don’t know it.

I agree with the speaker that the arts show the ideas and impulses of a society, and  they reflect the deep thoughts of the artists from my viewpoint(这不是speaker的观点,是作者的）. Meanwhile I cannot hold the same stage with the speaker that the things that are reflected by the arts will otherwise be hidden. 个人意见，没看文章，从提纲说。你的第二个论点既没有支持issue也没有反对它，如果你想用它作最后的发散倒是勉强可以，不过放中间的话，逻辑上有点问题。
