TOPIC: ISSUE130 - "How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society."

Socialization, as cliche it is, involves nearly every aspect of human, and it usually means the development of our society. While time fleets, socialization advanced with human evolving, however, no evidence shows up that human society prosperity depends on the way of our socialization of our children.

To clarify this abstruse question, we need to figure out that what really determines the destiny of society and does it matter with our children?




The improvement of society comes from two parts-one being human science such as technology, culture, politics and so forth, the other being the inner spiritual world of human morality standard, deciding what is really good for our future offspring. From the former one, our civilization goes from the prehistorical times when our ancestors reside in caves and hunt for animals to the modern time everyday life of us involving hight technology. Without it, we may still stay in the agricultural society or something like that. Just as some famous philosopher said(and i paraphrased):" Thanks oscitance, our race get into an totally new era." After the invention of light by Edison, we soon can noticed it  accelerate the pace of our growing up progress in many aspects. So does the computer.





At the mean time, we also need some guidance for all these activities or some ultimate goal to chase up. That is the morality, the norm of our society, the cornerstone of all the long history of our race, without it, no father step can we go, even worse, backsliding possibly. Imagine you are in a circumstance that no laws works there, would you feel any safe there in condition that no punishment await for criminals. We passed them up generation by generation, resulting in flourishing period now.





Recognizing the main factors that influenced the destiny of society, we got a clear view of the point, hence more confident into delving into the question whether we attain the way to raise the children in order to bring about a better society.




With highlight of our inner morality, i think it is easy to tell our kids what to do or not. There is no judgement for the action itself, as we know, however the effect or purpose of the action can be measured up by our common sense. For example, obviously there is no reason to blame on the person who discovered this technique of atom, on the contrast, the one who intend to use it in arsenal is the one that make the final wrong step. What is the standard for them, how to tell the two person from each other? Morality. If we don't know how to raise our children, how could our society prospered so fast? Because, although we don't have a common shared measurement about how to foster a child, but there did exist common norm how to do it. Seem likes we have different flavors of ourselves in decorating our appearance, but the goal of it is just to make yourself looks beautiful. So under the control of our morality, the way to raise children is always aiming to the good end.




With the comprehensive understanding of the whole stance, we can conclude that we the destiny of our society doesn't land on the shoulder of our children, but the morality and science. But with the leading of our ethics, it is reachable for us to know how to raise our children.

a society without laws or customs, can you imagine, it can operate and still go on in a mess? i doubted. Socialization means the mass have most common values to share and obey, absent with which society can not even organize or even exist. everyone can do whatever he or she wants, it will result in turbidity, everyone don't do anything, we will be wiped out by nature in control of "theory of survial of fittest".

only through the way that aiming at to teach them the moralities of basis of society, that the future of our society will boom and boost. Then to rainse our childern in the thought of ethics and morality, it will finally give us more option to do what we will gain to be better for our society, cause no one really has been to heaven, we just imagine, for this, let just give our childern the wings of their thoughts to construct a better tommorow of society.
