ISSUE17
There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Every individual in a society has a responsibility to obey just laws and, even more importantly, to disobey and resist unjust laws.
观点:无论法律是just or unjust 的,都必须遵守,即便那些unjust laws, disobey and resist可能也不会对问题的解决有什么帮助。建议……
提纲:1首先,没有绝对的just and unjust…..例子….
2 遵守法律是每个公民的责任义务…..
3 即便真的存在unjust laws,disobey and resist可能也不会有助于问题的解决
有拍必回
Admittedly, there actually exist various kinds of laws related tightly with people’s daily life, and some of them are perhaps seemingly unjust for certain groups of people. That’s not mean, however, individual has a responsibility to disobey and resist those “unjust” laws. From my viewpoint, every individual in a society must obey the laws absolutely whether they are just or “unjust”.
To begin with, we have got to acknowledge the laws of a society mostly established upon benefits of the most public but not the whole citizens, and it indicates people of different social status or professions may consider the same law in the view of personal benefits. Therefore, it’s hard to identify definitely which law is just or not. Grounding on this reality, there is no denying that every individual in a society should conform to its laws even if some of them really cause damages. For instance, being students of the most populous Province in China Henan, they must shoulder much more burden and pressure of competition than students in other provinces in the Chinese College Entrance Examination—CCEE. Cite statistics to substantiate my viewpoint. More than 880,000 candidates including me took the exam in 2007; however, only 33,000 or so were accepted by those so-called first class universities. By contrast, students in Beijing, Shanghai and other cities can get into universities of the same level much easier. Clearly, relevant education laws serve the benefits of most students in China and actually harm that of others.
Additionally, obeying the laws, whether they are just or not, is the unshakable responsibility and obligation of every individual for the purpose of maintaining social stability, the foundation upon which can the government protect personal benefits. Supposing a society filled with behaviors against the so-called “unjust” laws, which drags the government into troubles without sufficient energy focusing on general welfare, how can its citizens promise to lead a safe and colorful life? Hence, obeying the laws is essential and necessary for every individual.
Furthermore, granted that there really exist some unjust laws bringing about harm to certain groups of people, things would probably not get solved, even worse, by placing undue emphasis on merely disobeying and resisting. Considering the real conditions, in some cases, the government has no choice but to establish those relatively “unjust” laws, and thus disobeying and resisting without careful consideration is unreasonable and unwise. Take the CCEE example discussed above. Students have got to realize the large population of candidates is actually the main factor leading to the problem, which cannot be solved immediately, but not other factors. Hence, people should take an all-sided consideration before take impetus actions, and express their true feelings mildly.
To summarize, as I have discussed above, considering different and complex situations, it’s difficult to identify definitely whether a law is just or not. Therefore, every individual must obey the laws before the government take measures, and reflect their opinions rationally but not undue emphasis on disobeying and resisting. |
