With the ever accelerating development of globalization and education, the famous and affective global universities have become the pioneers in the way to the prosperity of us human beings under the auspices of governments. In this point, I agree with the speaker's notion that supporting a global university can be positive to expedite the process of solving the world's most persistent social problems while some concerns should be taken into consideration.

To begin with, admittedly, the world nowadays in 21st century, unlike hundreds years ago, is becoming more and more complex under the circumstance of globalization. The process of globalization affects us in all aspects, fashions, economics, or even the value of individuals. Meanwhile, many things are becoming so complex as it is impossible for small groups of people to accomplish them which calls for the intelligence and co-operation from people all over the world. The issue of environment problems, as an example, is an imperative threaten to the sustainable development of the world, which is not able to be solved only by the effort of a single or small groups of countries. And that is the reason why leaders from countries all around the world gathering in Copenhagen to attend the COP15 Climate Conference last year in order to find an effective way to reduce the carbon emission. Similarly in the field of academic, scientists and researchers from different colleges or nations are working together in order to explore our unknown world. For instance, the human genome project, whose aim is to decipher human beings, is cooperated by biochemists and scientists of related realms from seven different countries. Thus the importance of global university can not be neglected which provides opportunities for scholars and researchers from different countries working together, and probably result in a leap in the field or the achievements that changes the world.

However, after considering the tremendous benefits of the global university, some concerns should not be neglected. These global universities always spare not effort to solve these problems faced by the human beings such as poverty, economics or so forth. Nevertheless, these critical problems can not be necessarily applied to every country. As the view of government, they expect their global universities can contribute to the most serious problems in their country instead of the world-wide one. In some cases, governments may interpose to stop or halt such studies raised by global countries which are quite potential to make achievements, such as the government of Soviet Union. In 1920s, the Soviet Government decided to restrict not only the direction and goal of scientific researches, but also distort the result of these researches, ostensibly for the benefit of the greatest people. Similarly tragedy is entirely possible to react in another government who is not democratic in treating global universities, although it seems ridiculous.

Moreover, supporting the global universities is not the only way the governments can choose, they have much more alternatives. As we all know, the development of Internet and other related technology enables us to do many things that can not imagine in the past. It makes the world smaller and flatter. Using Internet, scholar can also communicate with each other, trying to solve the contemporary problems. By application of information systems and connection to the Internet can a university 'globalized'. That is just a example, governments should try all means to make all the universities in their countries competitive instead only support mere global universities that have enjoyed a great fame already.

All in all, under no circumstance should government ignore the importance of global universities and damage the healthy development of those colleges. Actions should also be taken to support other universities in the countries.

DO pay more attention to the first sentence of each paragraph!!! You should make your point clear at the very beginning , for paragraph 3,4 I see your point quite clear , but for the first and most important paragraph the point is missing.

The structure of sentence need more effort , otherwise it is a little too hard to read and understand .
(3) I think the merits of this article is that you used a lot of examples .
