题目：ARGUMENT76 - The following appeared as part of an article in a health and beauty magazine.
"A group of volunteers participated in a study of consumer responses to the new Luxess face cream. Every morning for a month, they washed their faces with mild soap and then applied Luxess. At the end of that month, most volunteers reported a marked improvement in the way their skin looked and felt. Thus it appears that Luxess is truly effective in improving the condition of facial skin."

From this argument,the author draw a conclusion that Luxess could improving the condition of facial skin effectively.To support this conclusion,the author gives us a survey consequence that some of consumers,who used the new Luxess face cream every morning for a month,had improved their skin.However,the argument suffers from several logical flaws and is therefore unconvincing.

Firstly,the imformation of consumer study is imcomplete.In this study,the author gives a uncertain number of people---most volunteers--has return good   response,so it is a doubt that whether a majority volunteers have improved their facial condition.And in the one hand,the study has not showed some details of volnteers' facial condition.Perhaps their facial conditons are so good that they need not to do any improvement.In the other hand,the responders is the only group of consumes that have a good effect after they used the product.The voluteers that have some  bad effects do not respond. Thus,without providing some detail imformations of study,the author cannot convine me effective.

Similarly,the author commits a fallacy of confusing concurrence with causal relationship.The author obsevers a correlation between the consumers use Luxess and their facial problems have improved,then the concludes that the former is the cause of the latter.However,it is possible that the true factor which cause the improvement is the element of mild soap.It also has a factor that these volunteers took care of their diets in that month because of eatting poignant foods would cause the problem of the face,such as acne.Without ruling out all other such factors it is unfair to conclude that Luxess could improve the condition of facial skin.

Finally,the author unfairly assumes that Luxess has the function that improve the facial skin problem.As we know,these are many facial skin problems which contain oilness,acne,or the bad skin looked.The Luxess only could improve the skin looked and felt.However,the auther asserts that Luxess could improving the condition of facial skin.The hasty generalization is not sound.Without additional studies which prove Luxess can improve all kinds of problems,i cannot accept this sweeping generalization.

In sum up,the author  fails to conclud that the function of Luxess is effective.To strengthen this,the author must introduce the volunteers' stats.To make conclude suffice,the author has to prove there is only Luxess useful but not other factor,such as daily diets or mild soap,in this study.To support the conclusion,the author must take other study to certify Luxess can sovle other facial problems.
