In this era of dramatic social developmentleading to fierce competition, perhaps no body is willing to leave behindothers. So people pay lot of attention to how to be successful. However,whether the surest path to success for any enterprise is revitalization throughnew leadership is open to question.
First of all, a new leader in anyprofession, such as business, politics and so on so forth surely brings a lotof fresh mind to the company or the government. If one leader works for a longtime, he or she will inevitably be confined in his or her own ways of thinking,so the company or the government will have little creative thought, maybe thiswill lead to a failure in the competition. So, we need new leaders, the youngperson to bring the creation to our company or government.
What is more, if a man has been in chargefor a long time, he or she will have enough time to use his or her power tomake friends with who will give him or her some private profit. And this kindof abuse power will cause corruption in the company or the government, whichwill gradually lead the enterprise to its end. So it is important for us toavoid it. Fortunately we can ask the man who is in power to step down after a certainyears, such as five years, and elect a new leader.
On the other hand, the old leader still hassome advantages. For example, he or she is full of experience. An old leadermust have been through varies hardships, when meeting a similar one again, heor she will surely handle with it much easier than a new leader who have nosuch experience.
In addition, if a company or a governmentchange its leader very frequently, it is bad for its steady development, forthe company or the government will take a long time to adapt this new leader.Also, it is not benefit for some long-time projects , for the leader ischanged, some idea of the former one can not be carry out smoothly.
To sum up, without a new leader, ourcompany or government is more likely to be lack of creative thoughts which issignificant for the enterprise to success in the fierce competition; without anold leader, our company or government may lose myriad experiences which arealso important for the enterprise to deal with some problems. So, we should sayboth the new and old leadership can benefit a company or government, all wehave to do is to find a appropriate time for a leader to be in charge, neithertoo long nor too short. Maybe this time may differ from enterprises toenterprises, it depends on the practical situation, not always five years. |
