ISSUE25 qisaiman- "Anyone can make things bigger and more complex. What requires real effort and courage is to move in the opposite direction-in other words, to make things as simple as possible."

I generally agree that it is easy for one to make thing more complex, while it usually calls for more efforts and courage to make things simple. In addition, I maintain that the simplicity and complication are sometimes too intricate to distinguish and they are interchangeable under certain conditions.
Firstly, it is easy to make something complicated, in others word, to involve more relevant information and people, yet one will put much efforts into it to attain a simple yet useful result. One instance supporting my points is the statistical experiments on the effect of certain market strategy. One can easily come up with numerous approaches to collect data and design the answer sheet, to distribute it to many persons and attain tons of information. However, more often than not, one will spend much energy on analyzing the information to arrive at a precise and effective conclusion. Since the nature of things tends to be simple, but it requires much efforts to discover it.
On the other hand, however, the simple and complication can be two sides of a coin. It usually requires same effort to travel for one side to another. The scientific research aptly illustrates my views.
The various phenomena in the universe have long attracted the attention of human beings. In the past thousands years, we just stayed at the appearances. But the human nature tries to understand it and scientific method has persuaded us that there are simple equations and law governing all. As the history has shown, generations has devoted to the nonstop inquire to the nature. While simple nature law regulates all these superficial events. Nevertheless, to explore these laws, one usually makes things bigger and more complex, such as the electron crasher and other physical experiment equipments. This, to a large extent, depends on the unique feature of nature. In some way, nature is simple. With several basic particles and the essential interactive force, we have what we saw today, the sun, the earth, the star and ourselves. Only with the power of modern science can we explore the mystery internal world of atom.
However, the contemporary scientific discovery has begun to realize that maybe the essence of nature is just complex. The law of entropy reveals that all things tend to decay to more disorder naturally. And the nonlinear system and phenomenon further convinces the scientists that simple elements can generation extreme random and disorder, which seems too complicated to handle. The ecosystem of earth serves as a proper example. We have seen there are subtle inter-influences in the ecosystem, and we have failed when trying to repair the damage caused by human behavior. Perhaps this setback becomes more intense with an increasing interest on the human being. The structure and function brain attracts many excellent wisdom delivering continuous efforts and trying to imitate it. Yet insofar we have obtained little except the astonishment it brings to us.
In conclusion, perhaps one day we may arrive at the essence of nature, whatever it is, the historical and scientific research has long revealed that the recognition of human being to the universe is a recycle of simplicity and complication.
