In deed, astrology, fortune-telling, and psychic and paranormal pursuits influence human behaviours and ideas, because of comforting people who was in a low mood. However, we should not ignore the disadvantage of the nonmainstream and the importance of mainstream science. I believe that mainstream science plays a vital role in human society.

Admittedly, the benefits of nonmainstream areas shouldn't be ignored. Firstly, nonmainstream areas can comfort people when we feel upset. Secondly, they can satisfy people's curiosity. For instances, in the ancient time, so many incredible natural phenomenons happened around our ancestors, who could't explain these reasons, and felt very terrified for the nature. But the nonmainstream has the ability to provide a perfect solution for unpremeditated incidents, calming people down as a result.

However, also should we realize the disadvantage of nonmainstream areas. In the first place, they can surely destroy people's fighting will for their lives. astrology, included by nonstream areas, which can tell you what will happen tommorow, implies that as long as you have the presage from astrology, you can do nothing except welcoming the future that you have known. In the second place, nonmainstream areas would induce reliances. It's hard to imagine what would happen if everyone in the world do nothing except looking forward blessing from the god. Last but not least, nonmainstream areas are unfounded, which will prevent the development of science. More people focus on nonmainstream areas, less people devote to science, which lead to a stagnant society and vestigial civilization.

Definitely, mainstream science plays a vital role in human society. Science promotes the society to a higher level. Without mainstream science, we only have a vague understanding for nature and the society. Without mainstream science, we can't unfold the veil of phnomenons for the truth. Without mainstream science, we would be killed for any illness such as headache and influenza.

In sum up, we shouldn't overlook certain values of nonmainstream areas, while we have to realize the importance of mainstream sciences.
