小弟4。14考作文，现在才写第一篇issue，因为没有限时，所以写的有点长，而且自己还没修改过，请各位大虾不惜指教。
另外小弟还未完全开始复习作文，希望高手们能给点复习上的意见。






With the explosive development of our society during the past one hundred years, people are becoming increasingly concerned about the destiny of our society and methods in which we can accelerate the development.How children are socialized , the author asserts , is the very factor which will determines the destiny of our society. Also, he makes statement that our education has not yet perform well enough to raise our children. However ,contrary to this view is my heartfelt agreement with the idea that socialization of our children ,though extremely vital,can not determine the destiny of our society only by itself.In addition , great achievement has been made in educating children to build a better society.

Undoubtedly,  socialization of our children is taking an increasingly important position in the way we improve our society with the process of global generalization. As Thomas Freedman claims ,"The World Is Flat", currently the whole world is a interconnected unity rather insulated piece of lands .No government can accord to pay such a heavy price that they will be refuted cooperation in all aspects such as commercial , military , science and technology development if they are blind to this point.As is the same case with country,  such social ability as communication,collaboration and acquirement of information are indispensable for a qualified citizen in today's society.But unfortunately, our authority of education seems to place too much emphasis on developing children's specific technology and skills.So do the parents.They are trying to steer their sons and daughter toward  a more certain and secure future.Rather than allowing their children to take some courses like history and classics that help to develop ability to synthesize and relate, to weigh cause and effect , to see events in perspective and ,most significant, to communicate with peers, they prefer to put their money on courses that point toward specific profession ,courses that are pre-law ,pre-medical.pre-business, or , as many sociologists put it, "pre-rich".Such unbalance performance may do harm to our purpose to cultivate those students to become those who can bring about a better society.


Although to some extent ,author's assertion seems to be persuasive and compatible with the reality according to my analysis listed above, I have to point out that there are still some flaws in this statement that although socialization are being of great importance in determining the destiny of society, yet it is not the only one and not the most important.Quality such as persistence , honesty and goodness are all core ingredients that contribute to a eligible civilian. We may look at those great ones who leads to the progress of our world.It is from George Washington's acknowledging his fault that we learn honesty is the only way to win faith from others.;It is from Madame Curie's hard work for refining radium from piles of hazardous emissive material that we know persistence  is the very key of opening treasure chest of knowledge ; It is from John Nash's kindness  we begin to realize that his beautiful mind , rather than his talent in mathematic , leads to his remarkable achievement in fields of economy and mathematics.Such virtues must be given higher or at least equal priority to socialization when we are talking about values influencing the extent to which an individual will ultimately contribute to a better society.


Another divergence  held by me from author's assertion is that in the past one hundred years , we human, or more specifically, those young people have done pretty good job in developing a better society if we character such society by improving living condition, increasingly harmony between people and greater tolerance for those who are different from us or share a differing belief with us.Improvement  in sanitation , the development of cures for fatal illness , techniques that improve crop fields or permit long-term storage of food make it possible for people to prolong their lives;Consider that many current  widely accepted issues ,democracy, voting rights for women civil rights for African American, were once considered  dangerous and of unpopular minorities  in several hundred years ago.However nowadays ,almost every civil people will take it for granted and blame those who aim at violating those principles.

So in sum, even though various problems exist in our educating system and our children as the author claims, I still believe in the infinite human possibility, that is , through repeating procedures of practising a method , failing , finding problems, solving them and improving the method, we human can keep going permanently.And our children , though imperfect in many aspects like their socialization, will definitely grab the stick and bring about a better society than we do.
