TOPIC: ARGUMENT188 - A new report suggests that men and women experience pain very differently from one another, and that doctors should consider these differences when prescribing pain medications. When researchers administered the same dosage of kappa opioids-a painkiller-to 28 men and 20 women who were having their wisdom teeth extracted, the women reported feeling much less pain than the men, and the easing of pain lasted considerably longer in women. This research suggests that kappa opioids should be prescribed for women whenever pain medication is required, whereas men should be given other kinds of pain medication. In addition, researchers should reevaluate the effects of all medications on men versus women.

This argument makes two ridiculous conclusions, prescribe kappa opioids for women whereas given other medicines to men to relive pain, supporting with the questionable experience reported recently.
To begin with, there are several flaws in the experiment. First of all, the report does not provide the measure that they used to weigh the pain level. May be it is inaccurate to reflect the pain. In addition, they are only 58 people attend to the research; the number of people is too deficient to represent the whole human feeling. Further more, even the quantity is enough, the report dose not prove that whether the participator has the same condition of body, the weight or the blood type may affect the result. Or the female participators feel the same pain as males, but they are not reported that. All of these are questionable through the experiment.
Secondly, even the report is right, it is unreasonable that doctors must prescribe kappa opioids to women while avoid prescribe that to men. Primarily, the experiments can not indicate that the kappa opioids’ effect is the best for women. May be they are merely not so painful as men and still felt seriously pain after taken kappa opioids. And it is unfair to consider kappa opioids is not effective for men, because it is possible the more pain than women is just caused by insufficient dosage.
Although assume that the experiment reflect the participators feeling of pain exactly, the argument's suggestion that men and women have a very different experience of pain in all medicines and advise researchers to reevaluate the effects of all medications on men versus women is ridiculous. It is possible that is only because the painkiller-kappa opioids-brought this different.
In conclusion, the argument can not convince me in several points. To made it more reasonable, it must provide the participators’ information to prove they can represent female and male and the way researches measure their pain level, it also should contain the information of kappa opioids to persuade us that it can represent all the effects of pain killers to let the arguments conclusion logical.

Although assume (这个词的主语呢?) that the experiment reflect the participators' feeling of pain exactly, the argument's suggestion that men and women have a very different experience of pain in all medicines and advise researchers to reevaluate the effects of all medications on men versus women is ridiculous.(这个词带贬义感情色彩,在这些评论文章中最好用中性和客观的词,如 unsound, inconvincible, indefensible之类的) It is possible that is only because the painkiller-kappa opioids-brought this different.这个点也新.
