Inthe era of rapid development of technology and moral changes, thejustification of law has been challenged. In response to this issue,it is wise to obey the laws which are in accordance with morality andurge legislature to amend the so-called "unjust" laws whichare hard to define.

Tobegin with, due to laws playing a significant role in our society, itbehooves us to obey the laws which accord with morality. Law is usedto against crimes, respect basic individual rights and ensure societyorder. Without respect laws, society will turn into chaos and countryturn into anarchy. For the "just" laws which ,in fact, ishard to define, we have responsibility to obey.

However,when it comes to the so-called unjust laws, it is wise to give afull-sided consideration. On one hand, due to the different  culturalbackground, some laws which may be viewed as unjust laws byforeigners are accepted by local citizens. For example, in Chinaparents use physical punishments  to educate their children whilefrom western people perspective, those behaviors are  some kind of family violence.  Chinese may consider the law about family violencein west is unjust. The case illustrates the justification of law isbased on cultural background. On the other hand, due to social moralchanges, some just laws become unfair. Consider the case ofeuthanasia. while in old time, it is reasonable to believe thatbehaviors of illegal depriving individual life deserve to bepunished, in modern time, the situation is so complex and perplexedthat in some cases, the behaviors are morally right. People who helppatients die peacefully  may feel the law about illegal deprivingother life is unfair.  The instance demonstrates just laws may become unjust laws because of the social condition. Hence it is hard todefine the unjust law due to the complicated cultural and moralissues.

Althoughit is hard to define the "unjust" laws, when faced with thelaws which are unreasonable, what action we should take?  An ampleanswer is the health insurance reform in United States which arousesa myriad of debates. Due to the function of laws,laws should have arelative stability to ensure social order and to respect basic humanrights. However, despite the best intention of laws, laws sometimesshould be amended to reflect on social changes.
