我曾经有两个朋友去NUS读master by research，后来一个去了美国，一个留下工作，还有一个申请港大real estate的phd，从她们的例子我觉得这两个地方的master by research的录取标准大概相当于美国50-70的phd offer。从我NUS的朋友那里我也听说了一些关于phd的情况，不过可能和这两年的行情不太一样。于是被lx版友认为是误导性信息。。。。。。

PhD programs in these places are not hard to get into at all!!!!
At least in NUS, the most difficult program to get into is the Masters by research program. The PhD is not so hard to get into, because very few people would choose to do their PhD there (most would like to find a job in the industry after the masters, or if they do want to PhD, they would do it in the biz school, or in the US).

I know a lot of cases at NUS where people applying for Masters by research were admitted to the PhD program! The fact is, there're always many people applying for their masters' by research, but very few applying for the PhD program!

你这两年申nus/ntu的econ phd program试试吧。。。

master by research 在那里都难申请， PHD in biz and econ 这两年NUS NTU的确都不好申请，可能申请的人数太多了。好像去年和今年NUS econ PHD还发没钱的AD。

whatever...you never know till you try... so just APPLY!!!

I am just telling you it's not so hard. At least easier to get into than any TOP 50 in the US. If you are aiming at the PhD in finance or OR, or accouning etc in NUS biz or NBS, then that's a different story.

若你了解不清楚，请不要用如此肯定的口气误导别人。这两个学校的phd并非如你所说是本校直接升上去的。据我所知，hku的phd几乎都是直接从大陆招的。 2# turkeyk

I have applied for NTU last year, and got an offer easily. I don't regard my background outstanding. Maybe the NBS phd program is difficult to apply. But the story is different for the Econ program in NTU. 4# NTUECON
