At our society, some people are busy working for the loaf, food, money and the based material, at the same time, some people pursue to work for the spirits and arts. Thus, the problem which we should prefer bring into focus: is the basic skill for surviving or the passion for pursuit the arts. For balancing between its pros and cons, my viewpoint is that we should fundamentally to seek the basic foods, clothes, house and etc., however, we should not neglect and quit to pursue the arts.

Firstly and basically, the people need pursue the material, the society also first provide the people need to survive.
Only people's life is guaranteed at society, can the others be talked about. If the people are hungry or poor, they usually can not work easy and worry about continuing to survive. When the people's need and basic material are provided, many of people can do the thing ordered and highly effective, the society can be stable and peaceful as well as to develop prosperously and harmoniously. In case the refugee are over the world and the workers lost their job increased more and more, the society is in confusion and even extinction duo to too many people can not survive and just to disrupt the society. Hence it is indisputable for the society to provide the people the basic survived things.

Nevertheless, we should not abandon to aspire after the arts and the inspirit need. Despite that arts can not give people the loaf, house, clothes that can benefit people to survive, but arts can lead the people to pursue the human’s progress and make the people find who they are.
Owe to the arts' progress, the people can be divided form the animal, and more advanced than the animal. Arts bring about the support of human sprits and the ideas of novel innovation. Arts influence the human long time and strongly even inspire the descendant to endeavor continuously. Some body aspires to the arts in spite of they are in poor and survived through the others’ help. For example, Van Gogh, a great painter, pursued the arts when he was in poor and could not be acknowledged by the temporary. His pictures about the sunflowers make the descendant recognize the importance of loving own life. Another persuasive instance can demonstrate this point clearly again. Cao Xue qin, created a great literature, wrote the <<Hong Lou Meng>>. He could not live a good life and very poor too whereas he insisted on writing the book even his life survived by the other's support. Eventually, he finished the book and made the offspring understand the society at that time. All they persisted on the pursuit for the arts, and their work contributed to the descendant and weak up the people nowadays.

The society can not stop the support the arts, whenever at the peace time or the war time. Until now all the previous society can not entirely guarantee to provide the sufficient needed things for all the people, however, the human still do not stop to aspire to the arts. It is an inadvisable to support the arts until all people can get enough the need.

To sum up, the material and the spirits are to complement each other. Only the people’s basic material is guaranteed by the society, can people pursue the arts freely and promote more great and novel working at arts. Supposing the arts is support by the society and the arts can advanced. Furthermore, the arts give rise to the development of human civilization and in favor of the whole society’s progress. Hence the guarantee and progress of them benefit each other , moreover, promote each other. We should emphasize both them and seek a balance for the development of our society.
