本人非211的一本医科大学的基础医学院本科毕业（已近两年），GPA82（医科大学分数都低，本专业100人排名前二十），G、T：1260、90。大二到大四三年的课余时间一直在学校的一个省级课题组（关于基因方面的）做了大量的实验，毕业论文也是关于基因方面的（论文成绩为本专业第二），有文章一二，毕业后在本校第一附院病理科做实验工作。拟申请基因或病理研究方面的PHD，可否申美国的前80——150的学校？恳请大家帮忙定位，感谢、感谢！

感谢斑竹的指点，我目前已有国内核心期刊的二作一篇，其它期刊还有三篇（不过排名比较靠后）。

You csure can apply, although your GPA is not very outstanding, but good enough. I think you just ignore the top 20%, as some others might be top 5%. I know how hard it is, some super girls in med school can do straight 90, hehe. I think your research background is not bad, so you should have some chance for aroung 60 to 100 ranked med schools, and sure some chance for top 50. For medical shcools, there are more than 144, but that is not a big number either. Some other new med schools are building up in US, and a number of big hospitals have their pathology department recruiting PhD students, which can be another choice. However, as you are not from clinical medicine, I think you do not need to only focus on med schools if not only like pathology, as if you count biology and biochemistry departments in, almost every top 250 Us in US have a PhD program for it. Then, maybe too many choices will be the problem.

So, go ahead and choose what you like. But if only for pathology, then sometimes it is tough, and you might need some good luck. Impossible is nothing anyway.

4# H1BMatch2012 感谢帮助定位！肿瘤研究方面不知是否竞争激烈，肿瘤研究与我的工作相关，但大二到大四三年实验室的经历以及期刊上的文章都是转基因食品方面的，我也更想继续这方面，这是生物与医学的交叉点，可能偏向生物，可能要出Med范围（不过我学的不是临床医学而是基础医学，课程偏向生化和实验方面），转基因方向是否相对肿瘤研究方向更好申一些？这一方向可以申请什么范围的学校，恳请大家帮助定位。
