When asked about what's the most important factor in successful development of country, a vast majority of people say education quality plays the most important role, so the government should take steps to improve the schools and other teaching facilities, but some other people would argue that economic achievement is the best index to assess a country's development. In my viewpoint, considerable though the benefits that economic development enjoys are, it cannot compete with the advantages that improving schools brings about, when education quality is taken into account.

According to a recent study published in the Journal of Educational Science, a group of sociologists in Peking University investigated the impact of education on the development of China. Two different decades were chosen in their research, 1950s and 1990s. Then the scientists collected data about the investment on education from the government's report. The money spent in education in 1990s was ten times as much as that in 1960s. Nowadays, it is a hot debate among nutritionists, biologists and sociologists that whether advertising is the only main cause of the unhealthy eating habits. While a vast majority people agree with this kind of saying, some people argue that other factors also play an important role on people's unhealthy eating habits, such as increasing working pressure, improving living standard. In my own viewpoint, I disagree with the proposal as there are other significant factors for people's unhealthy eating habits.

According to a recent study published in the journal Progress of National Academy of Sciences, a group of researchers in the University of Maryland investigated the reason why so many people are in favor of fast food. More than eighty percent of participants reported that they felt time was limited when they were in the office, so they had no choice but the fast food. Although they could save a lot of time to work on their projects, their health was at great risk as a result of increasing fat and oil in their own body. From this study, we could easily draw the conclusion that the increasing working pressure drives people to choose those unhealthy eating habits which seriously damaged their health.


Also, with the development of science and technology, people's living standard has been greatly improved that we can eat whatever we want at a lower price than before. Take the beaf for example, it has been reported the production of beef is ten times in 2009 as much as that in 2000. With the abundant food supply, more and more people choose to eat meat, beef and fish rather than vegetables and fruits. We can see that the ever increasing life condition make people adapt to some unhealthy eating habits.

However, we could not deny that advertising is another main cause of the unhealthy eating habits. Nowadays, TV and internet has a remarkable effect on our life. Some people could not resist the temptation of the delicious food advertised on the TV, they can't wait to buy these unhealthy food in the supermarkets. Considerable though the effect that advertising brings about is, it cannot compete with the effect that working pressure and improved life condition causes.

From what has been discussed above, we could safely come to the conclusion that advertising plays an significant role on people's unhealthy eating habits, but it is not the only main cause for these habits.

Scientists collected a large amount of information, such as participant's personality, intelligent level and satisfaction degree toward current job. The result was evident, researchers got to the conclusion that people's personality type directly determines which kind of job we would choose. Only after experiencing different kinds of jobs can young people know where their strength and weakness is and what kind of job they are supposed to do, so they could make a good decision on their career development. Sometimes, a number of adolescents don't understand this rule, and when they step into the society, they find that they are not suitable for this kind of job.

On the other hand, after taking several different kinds of job, the young adults are more experienced than before, so they can easily adapt to the new environment. Take me for example, during my college time, I tried different kinds of job. I was the monitor of my class when I was a freshman, then a librarian in the second year. As a computer programmer in a local company, I also practiced what I've learned in the campus. I benefited a lot from those different kind of working experience, and know how to get along with people, so after graduation I can easily adapt the new environment in a large enterprise.

However, we cannot deny that taking several kinds of job waste adolescent's time and energy. After a week of study and research, they would feel exhausted and tired if they still have job to do out of campus. When they return, it is reasonable that some students could not concentrate what they are supposed to do. Even though there might be one or two disadvantages to multiple working experience, the advantages far overweigh them.

All in all, considering the advantages and disadvantages of different kinds of working experience, we can easily see that the beneficial influence overwhelm the negative effects, since students can know what kind job they are suitable to do and they can gain more experience by having those different jobs.

In my viewpoint, students should master the basic ideas and concepts, which have a profound effect on their future study.
To begin with, ideas and concepts are the essence of simple facts, they tell us how the theory works under specific condition. Understanding these basic ideas and concepts are not only good for our current study, but also will benefit our further research work. For instance, psychologists in the University of Maryland found that more than ninety percent of Nobel Prize winners had strong interests in discovering the basic ideas and concepts. Only by mastering these essential concepts in the textbook can students be able to solve more complex problems. If they just know the simple facts, when the adolescents meet the problem next time, they would be confused and could do nothing about it. As result, to make a solid foundation for further study, it is necessary for students to understand ideas and concepts.
In addition, understanding ideas and concepts can cultivate the spirit of perseverance in their life, which play an important role in their success.
