Whether any means including lawful and go against laws should be taken to achieve a worthy goal is justifiable or not? It is difficult to make a decision when we meet some situations which calls for measuring between methods you take and the result. In this assertion it indicates that any means is warranted if the goal is valuable, however, as far as I concerned, I do not agree with the speaker for that means should be taken into consideration in two aspects.

To begin with, we live in a society with legal system and moral system highly developed which is exactly the reason that we every citizen should obey laws and moral spirits. If a goal is worth but at the same time the means to realize it goes against social laws and
morality, it is obviously unwarranted, in another way, any goals with sacrificing lawful value and moral value cannot be regarded as worthy due to you may pay more rather than the goal itself. For example, someone is pursuing money as his life final goal, and the goal is worthy, he take the ways by thieving the neighbor, robbing the banks or deceiving the relatives in order to realize it, if thousands even millions of people have the same goal and take the similar methods to reach the goal, what will our society be like? The answer is full of guilty behaviors expressed by means of violence, chaos, danger. Another is clone, which is regarded as the landmark of human's science advancement, is forbidden, because the side effect it brings is abysmal and cause big social problems.

On the other hand, means always contains these ones that made up of labor, sweat, struggle, and diligence. they are not only encouraged by the law makers, but also admired by the moral people. Lincoln, the 16th president of America, his political career is not plain sailing but filled with troubles and dilemma,
but he tried what he could to struggle again and again, he stands in his failure in the selection of councilors and become the top leader step one by one. Edison ,as well, never say "NO" to his abortive experiments and always tried once more, he was keeping on finding new ways as more as he could think to achieve his goal when one has proved a wrong, in the end, he succeed.


However, under some special circumstance, the "worth" should be given a new definition. Sometimes, we have no choices and cannot consider more about laws and moral spirits when defending outer erosion and guarded country's safety. Especially in the war, many contemptible behaviors such as killing, deceits , are all seen to be the necessary means to win in the game of war. For instance, in the Second World War, the allied forces planed to invade Sicily to knock the Italy out of the war, in order to conceal this purpose, the British men make a false captain who were drowned with a so called secret file in which there is a detailed plan of landing in the mainland of Italy but Sicily, then they managed to let the Germans get the captain and feint plan. As a result, Hitler believed the deliberate feint plan and retreated majority of his army from Sicily, and the Allis took Sicily easily.

To sum up, in most times, means which is accordant to lawful and moral used to reach goals are acceptable while some extremely illegal behaviors should be limited or even fined. When tackled some special situation it become another question and balanced well before taking action.
