比较型论证：history more affected by groups of people(A) rather than individuals(B). A+B-B+

When asked about who, individuals or groups of people, plays more important role in significant events and trends in history, people may find it hard to come to consensus due to their different experiences and conflicting values. As far as I am concerned, I partly agree with the arguer’s option that the groups of people, although anonymous citizens, cast influence on the destiny of society and how the history develops. What’s more, individuals are playing a role not less important than the groups of people. Both individuals and groups of people contribute to the progress of history.

It is groups of people whose identities have long been forgotten that make great indispensable efforts to bring about the turning point of history. Unlike individuals with sovereign rights or extraordinary ability, groups of anonymous people are executors of grand plans and great ideas. Without the help of aviation experts, manufacturers and logistic service, President Kennedy, the proponent of lunar program can not accomplish this great plan.

Taking a step back, these individuals are directors at the turning point of history, the majorities, however, indeed control the fate of society. It is the majorities hold the right to select the better leader to follow during specific time of period. Any great leaders lose the support of people would be eliminated by the history. Hitler once ruled the world for a while, but before long people pursuing freedom and equality overthrow his rule.

However, it cannot be denied that the importance of individuals who brought people together for the same goal. If there is not leader in the team, the group are not able to function well, not to say to accomplish their target. In the long history of human being, we can always find the lead or proponent of significant changes. Without Copernicus, the fact that the earth is a sphere would not draw such extensive attention around the world.

All in all, the group of people choose the individuals who can really affect the trends of history in the end and help them fulfill their goal, while the individuals saddled with the responsibility of promoting the history progress by agitate the people to follow them. Without the effort from either side, the history would not progress as what we observe today.
