TOPIC: ISSUE48 - "The study of history places too much emphasis on individuals. The most significant events and trends in history were made possible not by the famous few, but by groups of people whose identities have long been forgotten."
      In this discussion,the author claims that it is masses of ordinary people bring us this peaceful and confortable life when the study of history take overemphasis on several famous singl persons.I strongly agree with this opinion .There is no doubt that famous people play some crucial roles for pushing forward the steps of history,but the general public is the creator who made history of all over the world including most of significant events and trends.
      Firstly and the most important,general public is the main power  of making leader's plans to be reality and achieving the revolution of the society.Without the general public's support ,any splendid plan or policies could be only illsuion.General public is the foundation stone of success in most of realms whatever in government,business and education. In the political field,if general public support their leader,the policy would be implemented well,otherwise,the goverment leader would step down in soon by the against of great number of common people.
     Moreover,all famous people comse from the general public .They only propelled the history ,but did not make it.Most of people is considered to be famous and sinificant due to not only the talents they posses in their field ,but also the opportunities they get.It is possible that there are great number of people are good at some field and they all approach one accomlishment,but at the final,only a few people are better lucky and become famous.We can imagine that if the apple hit some other guy who is not called Newton,the gravity of the earth is still be found.So famous people is the result of history,they just propel history goes forwad faster ,but general public make the history.
     Last but not least,the overemphasizing of the famous people make the study of history incomplete.It is impossible to figure out the general life condition of previous society in history from the study of only a few famous people who absolutely can not be representative of general public.Moreover,it is unfair to attribute most events and trends in history to a few people.That may impede the activity of common people when their significance as part to constituting the society is overlooked by the misdirection of the study.
    In conclusion,famous people and general public are not mutual exclusive in the study of history,they all play important roles and interact each other in the progress of history.Famous people impel the forward of history when general public make the history.
