56. Collectors prize the ancient life-size clay statues of human figures made on Kali Island but have long wondered how the Kalinese artists were able to depict bodies with such realistic precision. Since archeologists have recently discovered molds of human heads and hands on Kali, we can now conclude that the ancient Kalinese artists used molds of actual bodies, not sculpting tools and techniques, to create these statues. This discovery explains why Kalinese miniature statues were abstract and entirely different in style: molds could only be used for life-size sculptures. It also explains why few ancient Kalinese sculpting tools have been found. In light of this development, collectors should expect the life-size sculptures to decrease in value and the miniatures to increase in value.

The argument is well-presented, but not thoroughly well-reasoned. The author states that collectors should expect the life-size sculptures to decrease in value and the miniatures to increase in value since that archeologists have recently discovered molds of human heads and hands on Kali, Kalinese miniature statues were abstract and entirely different in style, and few ancient Kalinese sculpting tools have been found. Let's focus on these arguments in turn.
First, the molds of human heads and hands on Kali can not make the conclusion as author supposed. The molds may be just a modeol used to minimum for creating before sculpting. In order to sculpt falsless, the artists always use a original mini-mold like most artist do today. Sometimes, the artists maybe just have no confidence about their mind, wonder seeing what is going on and emend furtherly. Therefore, molds is such a usual tools for artists that they prepared before creat a new art. Hence, the conclusion is ridiculous that Kalinese artists used molds of actual bodies, not sculpting tools and techniques, to create these statues.
Furthermore, the author supposed that the Kalinese miniature statues were abstract and entirely different in style because the molds were only life-size size. It sounds logical, but as we discussed before, the mini-staues probably an undo statues reflecting artists original minds for the life-size sculptures, the one which they really anticipant. The artists need to focus on the real art, and no one would spend much time on a prepartion. So the miniature statues that were abstract and entirely different in style is rational.
Third, few ancient Kalinese sculpting tools being found have nothing to do with the discovery. With the limitation of the techniques, the sculpting tools possibely are deserted and vanished in history river. Importantly, not founding do not means not exiting. Of course, the recent discovery support a possibely reason for the historists. However, it is just one probability not the truth. If we accept it passively, we may lose the oppotunity to find truth. In addition, most artists are such characterized and weird that have some ceremonies. Maybe destroying the tools is one of the ancient Kalinese artists' ceremonies.
Last but not the least, the author's conclution that the value of life-size sculptures would be decrease while the miniatures' increase is rarely logical. Even we overlook the archeological value, the aesthetic value of these statues should be considered.
In conclude, the argument ,while it seems logical at first, has several flaws as discussed above. The argument could be improved by providing direct evidence about the ways of creating statues, like historic literate or more archeological development. It could be further improved by evaluating the values of these statues objectively.
