I find that [a routine task that everyone dislikes, such as filing or record keeping ] is probably the least demanding part of my work. However, it's one of my responsibilities and important to the job as a whole,so I get it done as quickly and efficiently as I can, which allows me to attend to the more rewarding aspects of the job.

What do you think your last boss could have done better?

I always found X a very good employer/supervisor. I believe he/she gave me the best guidance possible and the opportunity to developp my career to the point where I'm ready for the challenges this new job presents.

I would have said a [difficult you used to have such as handling spreadsheets or giving presentations] was / might have been a bit of a problem, but since I went on a course last year to improve my skills [ or other positive action you've taken] I find that it's no longer an issue.

What's the biggest mistake you've ever made in your job?
When I first started work, I could never see the point of filing -- it was so boring and took up so much time. One day, the managing director himself came in and asked for a particular report sheet. Of course I hadn't bothered to file it and it wasn't in the pile I thought it was in. So I had to go through everything with the MD getting more and more impatient and my getting more and more embarrassed. I spent the next three lunch breaks getting my filing sorted out and I've never let it split since. I never want to be that embarrassed again.
