ISSUE 51
"Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."
我认为关键词是effective,Only, individual

完成时间:21:30-22:50  字数:506
论证过程:
1.I concede that ….Yet,…
2. Resource to deal with individual;
3. learn from each other not just from school specifically designed.

文章:
I agree with the speaker’s broad assertion that the education by which students are cultivated according to their individual needs and interests can be effective. However, the speaker unnecessarily extends the broad assertion to the extreme that considering educating student individually as the only effective means, while ignoring certain compelling reasons why individual education could be hard to realize and otherwise group education also left with its advantages, as discussed below.(21:46)

I concede that students educated in line with personal needs, naturally developed interests and inborn talents are likely to develop their own strengths and avoid weaknesses. After all, interests are the best teachers. The interests bring out children’s passion toward courses they are learning—by encouraging them to spare no efforts and by inspiring them to unleash creativity. Yet, in the very notions of individual needs and interests lie my first point of contention with the author, who illogically presumes that we can know the interest of every student before they are educated. To the contrary, if students conceive any needs and interests they must recognize them through education. (22: 08)

While we must educate students according to their needs and interests irrespective of whether these needs and interests are known to educators, at the same time we might risk squandering limited education resources including teachers, teaching equipment and other costs incurred in the process of teaching. Imagine that teacher are required to meet the various and changing needs and interest of each student and that students in favor of space technology ask for aviation equipment for the purpose of study, these requirements are impractical and largely a waste of taxpayer dollars; and few would dispute that the exorbitant amount of money devoted to realize individual education could have gone a long way toward addressing pressing social problems of the day. (22:28)

Additionally, the speaker’s assertion is troubling in two other aspects as well. First, how the students interact between through teaching process affects the effectiveness of education not less than how specific the education is toward every students. What’s more, if the students are educated and grouped up according to their interests respectively, they lose the joy and merits of learning from others with different education background. Secondly, prematurely focus on specific aspects of science territory would result in narrow horizon and creativity exhaustion. one apt illustration of this point involves the thriving of interdisciplinary research, which is the marriage of two distinct research areas, requiring in-depth understanding of these two kind of knowledge. Without comprehensive development, it would be hard for students to Formed the habit of multi-perspective thinking. (22:40)

In sum, the speaker’s assertion that in order to achieve effective education we must educate students in accord with their needs and interests makes the question debatable, because we cannot know whether the interest of every student before they are educated. Even if we can find out the needs and interests of students, it is meaningless to waste money to meet every child’s needs while other pressing social problem are urgent for funds. (22:50)

i'm so sorry,拍的晚了。

I agree with the speaker’s broad assertion that the education by which students are cultivated according to their individual needs and interests can be effective. However, the speaker unnecessarily extends the broad assertion to the extreme that considering (that considers/considering) educating student individually as the only effective means, while ignoring certain compelling reasons why individual education could be hard to realize and otherwise group education(这个用法我没有找到,建议:collective education) also left with its advantages, as discussed below.(21:46)(注意:时态用现在时更合适吧。And otherwise…这里的逻辑关系不清晰,且最后一个句子杂糅,读不太明白。)

I concede that students educated in line with personal needs, naturally developed interests and inborn talents are likely to develop their own strengths and avoid weaknesses. After all, interests are the best teachers. The interests bring out(bring about) children’s passion toward courses they are learning—by encouraging them to spare no efforts and by inspiring them to unleash creativity. Yet, in the very notions of individual needs and interests lie my first point of contention with the author, who illogically presumes that we can know the interest of every student before they are educated. To the contrary, if students conceive any needs and interests, they must recognize them through education. (22: 08)

While we must educate students according to their needs and interests irrespective of whether these needs and interests are known to educators,(
前半句本身逻辑就有问题,教育者不知道他们的兴趣和需要要怎么单独教?这个是issue,不是argument,所以这样的攻击方式不太符合issue论述要求。) at the same time we might risk squandering limited education resources including teachers, teaching equipment and other costs incurred in the process of teaching. Imagine that teacher are required to meet the various and changing needs and interest of each student and that students in favor of space technology ask for aviation equipment for the purpose of study, these requirements are impractical and largely a waste of taxpayer dollars; and few would dispute that the exorbitant amount of money devoted to realize individual education could have gone a long way toward addressing pressing social problems of the day(注意语法和句子杂糅问题

. (22:28)

Additionally, the speaker’s assertion is troubling in two other aspects as well.
First, how the students interact between through teaching process affects the effectiveness of education not less than how specific the education is toward every studentsevery后接单数名词). (句子杂糅) What’s more, if the students are educated and grouped up(成长,产生的意思,这里建议:brought up) according to their interests respectively, they lose the joy and merits of learning from others with different education background. Secondly, prematurely focus on specific aspects of science territory would result in narrow horizon and creativity exhaustion. One apt illustration of this point involves the thriving of interdisciplinary research, which is the
marriage (close collaboration) of two distinct research areas, requiring in-depth understanding of these two kinds of knowledge. Without comprehensive development, it would be hard for students to formed (form) the habit of multi-perspective thinking. (22:40)

In sum, the speaker’s assertion that in order to achieve effective education
, we must educate students in accord with their needs and interests makes the question debatable, because we cannot know whether the interest of every student before they are educated. Even if we can find out the needs and interests of students, it is meaningless to waste money to meet every child’s needs while other pressing social problems are urgent for funds. (22:50)

本文写的更像是argument,不太容易得高分。

阿福可以看下这里的第11条关于issue的详细介绍以及应试方法,我之前写过一篇issue也是这样,看了这篇文章后才意识到问题。
