反面：技术不一定可以决定社会风俗和伦理。
          决定风俗和伦理的因素有很多。包括传统文化、宗教、社会开放程度等等

Wether technologies influence and more significantly determine social customs and ethics，I strongly agree the first assertion by author that social custioms and ethics are influenced greatly by technologies especilly in the modern soceity which technologies progressed rapidly.Consider,however, the various factors contributed to social customs and ethics, I can't agree the second maintain that technologies determine them.

Undoubtly, in this modern society which technologies progressed and advanced everyday,technologies changed our style and way of our daily life what resulted in the change of social customs and ethics. We no longer connect each other via letters, more effective and efficient e-mail and mobile phone were emerged. With this rapid progress the emotion of people has been changed too,people prefer brief information to emotional words.Some argued that the modern communication not shorten the distance but actually boarden it. Another instance, a scholar of Canada claimed that media is the information. He interprented his pointview that media was the motivation of the society, every new media produced brand new way how we reocgnize and feel the world.The new media changed the feeling of people and the mutul relationship as well as the social behaviour.

Technologies are not only artifict but also actor as a scholar cliamed.It means that technologies can changed our life unconsicously.Consider, for instance,the generation who grow up with the media of televison,they are defined by scholars that alone,introversion,self-centre and lack the social responsibility when contrasted with their fatherhood grow up with book and other media in paper.It substantiated that the technologies had the ability to alter our character so as to social cunstoms and ethics.


I disagree , however,the assertion that technologies can determine social customs and ethics.There are many relevent factors influence the social custions and ethics. The change of customs and ethics has its complex background including the traditonal culture,religion ,regulation of authority,condition of open and so on. Tranditional culture affect some fabic to maintain there life style and way like thousand years ago. And consider,for instance,the different degree
of globalization that in different country.In China we can see western culture everywhere such as the fast food McDonld and KFC, teenages wear sport brand NIKE that substantiate the globalization caused by the progress of communication technologies affect greatly here. As contrast North Korea,a country closed to the world, almost can't emerge the effect of western culture.Consequently, the technologies not the only fatal factor which responsible to the social customs and ethics.

To sum up,the technologies,themselves don't exist good and evil, are the product of human-beings, their effect totally resulted from how to use it.It is significant to consider how we utilize them to fulfill what intention.The influences of technologies not only defined by the traits of themselves but also the way how we utilize them. And when we recognize technologies may produce negtive effects,our government and internatinal orgnizations have the obligation to regulate and conduct in order to prevent them and protect our society and world in harmony.
