Once we are born, we are on the way to death which is uncontrolled. Beside this, for most circumstances, we have the right to make our own choice.

Choice is the representative of vivid life and ability of logical mind. If we cannot make choice, we are the dying man lying on the bed waiting for death's coming, because we have no longer a healthy body and sharp mind to support a processing of choice. However, in this case, we still have the right to choose death with eyes open or closed to present we are still alive, which is what we can do before last breath. On the other hand, to choose is a crucial appearance of initial and self possession for at least you are free to make a choice.

On the contrast, on some circumstances, some individuals claim there is no choice while in reality it is because we do not make a choice. There is a saying (as I paraphrase): When we rush, we do not choose the road; when we suffer hunger, we do not choose the food. So it is not because absence of choice but steal a loaf of bread to feed your starving family, it is because under such situation you are limited to have a logical mind and choose the quickest way to solve the problem, stealth. People are born of laziness, it is natural to choice the simplest answer considered as the sole solution, while we are actually ignoring some potential possibilities and bland at some complex solutions.

When it comes to slaves, literally we can consider they are absent of choice and have no right to make a choice in another word. They are ordered to do works only for survive, not allowing to make a decision contradict to owners. In that way, democracy is a motion are based on and representative of freedom of decision. The more civilized the society as a whole is, the more freedom those citizens have. Insofar citizens can decide to have a cozy life with whatever way they want if it will not harm anyone else. But on the early time, especially the time of autocracy and arbitrary, citizens are suffering heavy taxation and banned to publish any proclaim negative to government. So society has the tendency of unraveling more shackles and bringing more freedom.

However, people always follow the nature law as a whole and are limited when making a choice at a wider perspective, although we think we are making choices all the time by our own mind. As individuals have various ideas and make different choice, we are ignorant about ,for example, even ourselves, and this limitations make most of us choose not to suicide or kill others. It is not only by the long time system of value and knowledge taught by teachers, but also by the natural law ruled by God. For instance, the developing industry and technology seems to have tapped the forest and also the original development of livings, but on the other side, the worsening circumstance have jeopardizing survive of people, which is fair and driving people to converse their choice to make a logical one follow the natural law. In terms of that case, we are not making a choice actually but followed the written play and act as designed roles.

In sum, although we are sometimes come across the circumstances with no alternative, the issue that there is rarely situation absent of choice is mainly correct. If we can calm down sometimes when we feel frustrated of sole choice, we will, as the Earth is round, for sure find at least two ways to our destination. Moreover, people should make decisions in terms of humility, moral, and natural law to live a balanced life with the circumstance around.
