在VO问我第一个问题的时候，已经开始给我DS2019表签字了，所以后面的聊天都是无所谓的。对答就不写了。

要说经验，我想有一点：
面签窗口上有二张纸条，一张是要你准备好160确认页、SEVIS收据、护照等必须资料；一张是针对F1、J1的要准备好邀请信、个人简历、研究计划、导师简历等。我看论坛里大部分人都是VO说“简历”，然后是“here you are”，然后再重复。我是把所有资料按顺序一起给的VO，他迅速地翻，看东西齐了根本不看内容，直接签的字。我想这应该是一个经验吧。

好了，进入正题。
我是今年初J1去过一次美国，short-term scholar。回来几个月后再次J1 research scholar出去。上次的2019和护照上有2 year rules apply，因为是公费。
所以我曾经问过，这种情况可不可以再次申请签证。在太傻别人的回复是决对不可以了，因为有了2ys apply。

但我经过仔细查阅，实际不是这么回事，而且，我发现很多人都不明白这其中的规矩。所以今天给大家扫个盲。

1、J1签证限制很多：有2 year rules apply(212e)，有12-month bar和24 month bar. 其实目的就是避免以J1身份频繁往来于美国。
2、2 year rules apply(212e)是针对H1和移民签证的。也就是说，有这个限制的人，完全可以再次以J1身份入境。当然也可以旅游签证等。
3、12-month bar是指以前曾经以J1入境超过6个月，不能再次以research scholar 或professor身份入境。这里面short-term scholar除外。
4、24-month bar是指之前以Research Scholar/Professor入境，项目结束后不能再次以同样身份入境。
