In this argument, the writer suggests the dentists who advertise to attract patients target the male consumer and emphasize both effectiveness of their anesthetic techniques and sensitivity of staff to nervous patients. But the writer's suggestion is based on statistics collected from dentists and these data cannot support the writer's suggestion well.

First, the writer does not give us any information about the source of these statistics, except mentions it been collected from dentists. It perhaps that these data were got from only few dentists and the total amount of patients of these dentists are too small to represent the whole dental patients. Although in this small sample, faint male dental patients were three times more than female patients, this make no sense for this sample cannot reflect the common situation. And there is another possible reason that men who go to visit dentists are much more than women who does so; since more men than women occupied the total amount of patients, the fact is not like the writer describes that more men faint than women.

Then, the writer ignore an important aspect that different dental patient may suffer from various degree of dental ill and male patients may suffer more serious dental ill than that of female patients. It entirely possible that men can bear more serious pains that women and these male patients considered that dental illness is an ailment that no need to visit dentists. As a result, when they cannot bear pains and go to see dentists, the ill conditions are very serious, so they easy faint during the treatment of dental illness.

Last, although the statistics are correct, when advertising dentists should consider the female patients, because it is always some patients very afraid of pains. If dentists do not target the female consumer, these consumers will mistakenly believe that this kind of anesthetic techniques is only valid for male patients. As a result, female patients who afraid of pains may do not visit dentists frequently.

In sum, the argument is weak because the statistics is unwarranted. To bolter the argument, the writer should provide details of how the data was collected and should cites evidence that conditions between male and female patients are same.
