题目:ARGUMENT110 - The following appeared in a memo from the Principal of Sherwood Junior High School.

"It appears that the lighting in Sherwood High's classrooms, which have large windows but minimal overhead light sources, is impairing student academic performance and teacher morale. Records show that during December and January, the two months with the fewest hours of daylight, attendance rates fall, average daily class participation drops, and grades decline. Teacher resignations are also highest during these months. According to a study of Tundra Vocational School, which experiences entire seasons with little daylight, students' grade point averages increased when Day Glow light bulbs, which mimic sunlight, were installed in classrooms. This study suggests that Sherwood can improve students' academic performance and teachers' morale by using Day Glow light bulbs in winter."

First of all, the factors influence students' academic performance are still under research. The morale of students, the
teaching quality, the talent of students are all directly relevent to the academic performance of students, which should be taken into consideration first ^a.In addition , there are no authority conclude that light bulbs are relevent, even undirectly to academic performance of students.Does the arguer overweigh the significance of the effect of light bulbs? If the change of light bulbs really have such magic power,

why
there are still other schools
choosing other type of light bulbs.


Second,the arguer only offer one tiny study of Tundra Vocational School. First , let alone the reality of the study ,whether the success experience can to apply to other schools ,is questionable.The grade point averages are affected by a lot elements,such as the willing of students, the studying hours,the attitude of students,and so forth.Even though it's the effect of
Day Glow
light bulbs, the effect of them maybe only work in the environment there, not in Sherwood.


Finally.

Finally, the arguer get the conclusion that the light is impairing student academic performance and teacher morale by the short records during December and January. Maybe it is not the light but the weather that contribute to the decline of the performance of student and the morale of teacher. In winter, when the temperature is freezing cold, and the way to school is covered by the fierce wind, no one would like to go school or go to work. That may be the exact reason of drop of the attendance and resignation, which resulting in grades decline.



Overall, the relation between light and participation and grades drop of student and the relevantly high resignation of teacher cannot prove casual ,even relevant by the limit information the arguer provide. So before take the advise, Sherwood High should take more research on direct reason of participation and grades drop of student and the relevantly high resignation of teacher, in case of waste of money.

Issue:今天
Argue:昨天在寄托上学习了不少经验,也用到了写作上,主要是开头结尾的写法和破题的思路!!。但仍碰到一些问题。
1今天离考试还有16天,第一次全真模考(45min issue 连着30min argueissue倒是相对顺利,但是argument只写了249字。。。。主要原因可能是思路一下子没转过来。。分析了好久才明白。大家看下 我的机考原文就知道,有多么惨。。
2开头写的时间太长。由于开头要理清作者思路(昨天学习),但审题碰到一些,生词,看了很久才排除为无关因素。开完头只剩21分钟。。。
3中间犹豫。开头久,也压缩了,理清攻击点的时间。导致攻击犹豫。另一方面,由于论证要fully developed (昨天学习),想例子也想了很久。致使,论证第三部分,结尾 都没时间写。
