`

Eighteenth-century European aesthetics was reasonably successful in providing an understanding of all art.,including early abstract art, until the 1960s.,when artits self-consciously rebelled adainst earlier notions of art. Since the work of these rebellious artists is quite beautiful but outside the bounds of the aesthetic theory then current, there can be no complete theory of aethetics.

The reasoning above is most vulnerable to criticism in that it

(B) presurnes without providing justification, that data in those papers. artists' rebellion in the 1960s against earlier notions of art was not guided by their knowledge of eighteenth-century European aesthetic theory.
(E) presumes, without providing justification, that eighteenth-century European aesthetics is as encompassing as an aesthetic theory can be.

the aesthetic theory then current (eighteenth-century European aesthetics)不一定很完备,可能本身有很多漏洞。只是片面的理论。

(B)中:
rebellion in 1960s 是否 受 18th 理论的 影响 (guide), 和 是否 在其 范围(bounds)中,没多大关系。
