Whether students should doubt whatever they learn is a highly controversy issue in the conteporary. Some people hold the view that students should question whatever they are taught for cultivating a freedom mind to think about what will incur in their later life, while the others maintain that students should believe what they study in their early life. In my perspective, however, this is a case-by-case discussion.
If the contents that students learn are the well-known priciples which are used in various area in contemporary world, they have better to accept it and comprehend it in the first sight. Since the classical priciples are well-accepted by the former and today's professionals and well-used in the industry and daily life, students with little specific knowledge would be difficult to find the flaws and shortages in the principle. Thus, a persistent skepticm is a waste of time. For example, when studying the Maxwell Electric Magneticant Effect in the phicics class, students are told that the statellites above the planet and electic communication around the world today have depended on the laws. It will be inapproriate for a student to ask that if the effect have been already existed. Also, when learning the Mendel's Laws of inheritance, students could see how the laws be examed by the new technologies, such as clony of genes. Then, students would be thought weak in mind to question adout the credbility of the law. Therefore, students are not encouraged to doubt what they are taught in school.
However, When talking about the controversy issue in today's life, student's should give their own opinion on it. In the discussion, the students will think independently and sultivate a sense of responsibility to the world.
