为了今天的签证，昨夜一晚没睡好。坐在车上，同去的rg说他有点紧张，
问我如何。他问时我倒是一点不紧张，不过车快到秀水街时，心就开始
狂跳，做了好几次深呼吸才勉强平静下来。下车后在街上等了大概半
个小时开始放预约号40以前的人，我赶紧进去了。走了至少500米才来到
签证大厅，路上也是狂紧张不止，但进到大厅后发现VO都还挺帅，尤其
是hfmm，真的很pp，笑得也很亲切，觉得很是赏心悦目，就专心欣赏起
来，忘记紧张了。排队等待时发现今天形势不错，不一会儿10号前就等
了好多人，但是hfmm和tt（不知大小）手下过的人明显比较少。我是在
7号窗口签的，VO头发比较多，好像是棕色的，今天他是个水车。我前面
一个MIT的gg被Check，Yale的mm Pass，然后我就上去了。

Me: Good morning, Sir.

VO: Very good, !#@$^@$#%

VO: So you are from Peking University?

Me: Yes.

VO: You major is chemistry?

Me: Yes, my major is materials chemistry, but now I work in a lab of physica
l
       chemistry.(VO本来是一边看电脑一边跟我说话的，听到这句话停下其
       他事情，把头凑过来，盯着我听我说）The major of undergraduate
       students doesn't describe exactly what we are doing.

VO: What's your degree?

Me: The next month.

VO: I mean what's your degree?

Me: Oh, Bs. I'll get Bs the next month.

VO: Ohm...看电脑，输东西...You are going to the University of Chicago?

Me: Yes. To study chemistry. For my PhD's degree.

VO: Ohm...！＃◎￥...What will you study?

Me: I plan to study ***

VO: What's ***?

Me: ***is about ***, ***. (VO又闲下来了，开始凑过头，认真的看着我说话）

VO: What's your plan after graduation?（VO是盯着我的眼睛问的，整个我回
      答的过程中都没有做其他事，专心听我的回答）

Me: Return and build a lab of ***. Because *** has been studied in US for mo
re
    than 20 years, but there is virtually no research in China ...(VO发问了）

VO: Build a lab of ***? Where will you set up the lab? Do you say this to an
yone?

Me: I will find a position in an academic institution and build the lab.

VO: But which academic institution it is？

Me: Actually I didn't think of this problem.（话一出口发觉失言，已经被VO抓
      住了）

VO: So you didn't think of this problem and you said you will come back?（
    不信，嘲讽）

Me: I didn't mean that! I just said that I didn't decide which specific
    institution. But I will come back and find a position in an academic
   institution, like Peking University, Chinese Academy of Science.（既
   然VO逼得这么紧，只好随便说出了两个）

VO: Did they know your plan? Have you any letters from them?

Me: No.

VO: So you didn't say to anyone and you said you will build a lab in their
    institution?(盯着我 问，我被连续反问两个这样的问题，觉得自己仿佛真是在
    信口开河）

Me: But *** is widely used in *** in US, and there is no research in China.
      blablabla.... There will be a demand in China. I have some email from
      the professor at the University of Chicago,...

VO: (记不清楚他说什么了，大概就是：芝加哥大学的email没有用，
       我要的是你在中国的support letter）

Me: Please let me explain! (VO点点头）These email say that *** is very
    important. Do you want to have a look?

VO: OK（接过打印的email）

Me: *** has been studied in US for at least 15years, but there is no researc
h
   in China. So after I study *** in US, I can build a such a lab in China.

VO: There is no research in China, so you can't find a job.

Me: （急了）But *** is ...(说这个东东很有用）Like my current advisor,

VO: You current advisor?

Me: Yes, he is the first scientist in China working on carbon nanotube. He g
ot
    his PhD degree in Japan, worked on carbon nanotube. At that time, there
   is no scientists in China working on carbon nanotube, but he came back
    and built the first lab on carbon nanotube in China. Now he is a
    Changjiang scholar. So I think(我想说我会跟他一样，不知怎么说）

VO: Do you have any letters from the University of Chicago?

Me: Yes, (给他offer letter）

VO: I can't issue you the Visa. （预料之中）#@$!#$.....Washington.....@!#$!$

Me: （大喜过往）OK. Thank you.(居然没有问他是不是
        Check。然后拿了蓝色的纸回来了）

    VO一直抓住我没有support letter问，我结结巴巴解释半天可他就是不相
信的样子，以为肯定要被拒，不过是死马当活马医的乱说一通罢了，居然
争取到了check，大喜过望。没有问我要resume。所以以后的xdjm签的时候，
不要轻言放弃。当然最主要的是签证形势开始好转了，今天我前面的形势
至少不比昨天差，应该40％以上都过了或者check了。
