1. 的确是they指代不明..可以指American films, European imports或者both.
2. 可能是especially前后结构要平行吧..前面是the experiences of 后面就要用the struggles of..
: y$ [& v* R  o5 @! `! J$ F: f% t3. 这个水平有限..我就扯一下吧.. 应该还是平行结构的问题...as large as 的前面是the NY City borough of Queens ，所以也要接地点名词，combined只是后置定语而已(吧?)
