有些领域，比如艺术，追求自由，相对远离政治。因此，对于某些艺术家，很难判断。
例子：梵高的绘画没有政治因素。

Is it entirely possible to identify a person’s politics with in a short period of time by recognizing his or her habits, as the speaker claims? I agree in so far as politics plays a pivotal role in our daily life. However, there is no point to deny that there do exist some areas which are relatively far away from the control of politics. Therefore, an all-round consideration is necessary.

First of all, there is no doubt that politics is almost everywhere is our every day life. For that matter, in certain time, at certain place and under certain circumstance, it is possible to identify a person's politics by his or her clothes, living habits, the way they communicate with each other and so forth.
According to Wikipedia, politics is "the relationship involving authority power", including principles of certain political group and tactics to apply policies. In a society that cherish efficiency as ours, politics is of great essence of the development of whole society, in that in provide building blocks from which other public areas are provided. In that case, people's daily life will be definitely affected by politics. Consider, for example, people tend to make friends with someone who share the same political beliefs with them. Another apt illustration involves they way people act in interpersonal relationship. It is acknowledged that those people who hold conservative political beliefs tend to be more traditional in their daily life.
In short, because of the necessity of politics in modern society, basically, it is hard for us to avoid the effects of politics in our everyday life. For that matter, it is possible to identify a person's politics within a relatively short period of time by watching the way he or she act in daily life.

Yet, some fundamental problems can be easily found in this statement. I disagree with the speaker's implication that everything in our daily life in controlled by politics, by virtue of evident facts in two respects. Firstly, at least some fields of inquires, such as art ,are escaping from the control of politics. Thereby, it is unwarranted to assume that everything about people, especially some artists, can reflect their political beliefs.
Due to human nature, all people are pursuing entire liberty throughout the journey of our lives. In an area like art, mere knowledge and experience do not play a vital role as they do in other fields of inquires. Instead, creativity, innovation and the pursuit of liberty have become three of the basic elements to the development of art. For that reason, artists tend to pursue liberty in mind and avoid the control of politics. They will not reflect their politics in daily life and in their masterpieces. The example of Van Gogh aptly illustrates this point. Van Gogh, one of the greatest painters of Impressionism, have perused liberty in art during his whole lifetime. He ignored the outside world and political situation. All of his paintings reflect the natural beauty and the inspiration inside his heart. This intensely intriguing illustration inspire us that people in our society, like artists , will not reflect their political beliefs in their daily life.

Secondly, some of our habits have nothing to do with politics. They are just the reflection of our personality and preference. For example, it is unwarranted to define a person who do not watch western movies as the resist of western culture in politics. It is also implausible do define a person who cherish traditional culture as the conservative political beliefs. Our living habits, including the clothes we wear, the way we talk, the food we eat are the reflection of a series learned core values, beliefs and criteria, not mere our political beliefs.. Consequently, defining everything about people as the reflection of their political beliefs seems to simplify human beings.

To sum up,
it is evident that the speaker overstates the importance of politics and overlooks the importance of other respects in our everyday life. Admittedly, for the important function of politics in our modern societies, some of our living habits do reflect our political beliefs. But to some particular person like artists, and under some particular circumstance, it is hard to attribute a person's living habitis merely to politics. For the reason that other aspects, such as preference, personality, education will also affect the way we live.
