Merely based on the unfounded assumptions and dubious evidence, the author makes the recommendation that investing in a Power-Lift Gym franchise is a smart decision, which will give a quick profit. To support his conclusion, the author cited the current trends in the nation, that 500 locations already have Power-Lift Gym and more people are paying more attentions to weight loss and physical fitness. The author also indicates that the sales' of books and magazines focusing on personal health more than $50 million in last year and home exercise is popular. At first glance, the argument appears to be somewhat convincing, but further reflection reveals that it omits some substantial concerns that should to be addressed. From the logical perspective, the argument is problematic from the following reasons.

In the first, as the author mentioned in the argument, Power-Lift Gyms have owned popularity among customers in 500 locations, but it can not contribute to the fact that the Gyms will also be welcomed in the place, where the investor will open. The living habits and exercise habits are associated with the popularity of Gyms. It's entirely possible that A place has a mountain, and residents in that place have been used to exercise by walking or jogging along the mountain, they enjoy the sunshine and beautiful view, while, they are worried about the air quality in the Gyms, meanwhile, the opening of Gyms in A place might not be as successful as in other locations.

Secondly, the survey give the fact that people are concerning with their personal health. And the author assumes that people are more willing to go to Gyms. Perhaps, the action of keeping fit is start from health eating. This is also a factor that plays a important role in weight loss and physical fitness. Even if the people go to Gyms to shape their body, there is no evidence to indicate that people must go Power-Lift Gyms. Other choices are provided for them to choose, and the author has not concerned the advantages that Power-Lift Gyms owned that can compete with other gyms.

Thirdly, the sales of books and magazines have profited $50 million last year. As the author has not given the earlier data, such the selling in two years, three years ago, I can not be informed that there is a increasing interests of residents in personal health. However, the habit of buying books and magazines on personal health can not indicates that people are also interested in Power-lift Gyms. If they concerns about the health eating, benefits in outdoor exercise, they will also purchase the books.

Forth, the fact that the selling of home exercise equipment have doubled will weaken the possibilities that people will go to the Gyms. As they have conditions, equipment at home, there is no need to go the Gyms. However, it's also convenient and comfortable to exercise at home.

To sum up, the reasons that author has given do not lend strong support to the claim that more and more people will go the Power-Lift Gyms, and can not guarantee the success of opening a Gyms. So the quick profit to the investor is also can not be assured.
