我知道，很多考3G的同学最近比较痛苦，我刚考完和拿到成绩时也是。
刚才我收到美国教授的回信，却有一封惊喜。在此我把这次私人信件公开在这里，给大家一点希望和启发：）
Hi Mr He:
Today, I received my GRE score in March. Just as I pre-felt, I did well in quantitative
section, while not well in verbal and analytical writing. I got full mark in quantitative, 800.
But, in verbal, I got 400, and 3.0 in writing, whose full score is 6.0.
Generally speaking, I didn’t do well enough in GRE. But I wonder if there is anything
can do some makeup, say get an extremely high score in TOFEL, 620 or so. Preparing for
GRE is an exhausting job, and would occupy a lot of my time. I prefer to pay more time on
GPA in the last year, so I try to avoid taking GRE again. Of course, if nothing can be help,
I would take GRE again. It will never be so easy to achieve something after all.
Now that the final exam is coming, I am focusing on the subjects. No matter what I should
do in the future, I am willing to accept.

Hi David,

1. Do not retake GRE yet. Your math part is pretty good.

2. Take TOEFL and try to get 620 or above.

3. Improve your GPA.

4. Let us discuss then.

注：James He是纽约的一所大学教授，这个大学研究生院排名全美51（2002年）。他是我妈妈的同学。这一点上我或许比别人有优势。
看来400的V并非没有用。我学自控，但是准备申请经济，而且James知道。他在以前的信中批评过我2。7的GPA，说那样的话，这事没有希望。看来GRE真的不是很重要了，尤其申请工科的。
所以，V差的同学不要气馁，还是有希望的！
希望我的这个帖子能给郁闷中的同学们一点希望：）

我们学校有的专业老师很严厉
不过的都有1/3
高分更是没有
大家GPA都不成
是不是没有MAKEUP的方法啊？

是不是4——90分，3——80分。我GPA也<3,但还有两年。
我也是自控的，国外是不是叫AUTOMATION，好象很少见，不是属EE的吧。

说到gdp,让我想到了黑狐狸的那篇文章，聪明人和笨人。。看来当务之急，尤其在校学生，更注意的是你们的gdp，如果可以，在发表点paper，应该都是有帮助的。总之，不能盲目的为gre伤心难过。。。
