Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Governments should pay more attention to health-care issues than environmental issues.

It's not rare to see us suffering from not only health-care issues, but also environmental issues. So I largely agree that government should pay attention to health-care issues, but not absolutely. Admitted, health-care issues relates to us, however, environmental issues can have effect on not only ourselves, but also the development problems.

Health issues are crucial for us when it talks about to how to strength our body quality, because considerable people undergo illnesses, such as, cancer, having a cold, and headache. For example, I used to have a cold in fall, this illness made me couldn’t do work very well, then, I couldn’t concentrate on my study, leading to the low scores. But I got better when I decided to exercise. Such as I got up early to walk along the school street in the morning, in the weekend, I went to park to jog, I went to climb the mountain, sometimes. By these series of exercise, I gained not only the healthy body which could allow me to get rid of bad cold, but also the good marks in my school. However, there are a number of people suffering from illness that they can’t cure them by themselves. So, it's vital for government to take measures to enlarge our body to prevent health problems.

Environmental issues are vital for us because it is associated with development problem. Government can't development any aspect of society without solving the environment problems. So, it's essential for government to protect the environment by planting the trees, saving the water, and recovering the destroyed forest. With the government steps, we also should take actions to protect the environment, such as teaching children learn to treat friendly animals, using the public transportation, and persuading relative to protect environment. By taking these measures, we can protect the environmental issues, and solve the development problems.

To sum them up, health issues and environmental issues are the points which government should pay attention to.

TPO14~

The reading passage thinks that salvage logging is benefits both to damaged forest and to the economy. But, the listening passage hold an opposite opinions in three points.

First, the reading passage thinks salvage logging remove the remain of dead trees and make room for the fresh growth, however, the listening passage states that wood decomposition will enrich the soil ,and this kind of decomposition ids necessary for the tree's growth, in addition, wood decomposition is suitable for the next generation of trees.

Second, the reading passage thinks that salvage logging can minimize the damagers of insect infection, contributing to the health of the forest. On the other hand, the lecture argues that dead wood provides not only harmful insect with habitat, but also some good animal, such as bird. And if the dead wood is removed, it will end up the life of good insect and bird.

Third, the reading passage thinks that salvage logging have economic benefits, and this project will need more workers than traditional logging operation, adding additional jobs for local people. But lecture thinks that it won't last very long. If there is a serve damage of forest, government will use expensive vehicle, such as, helicopter. At the same time, the additional jobs are temporary, because outsiders who have experience on it will gain this jobs instead of local workers.
