With the international trade increasing, many goods, including goods for daily use such as dairy products, are transported to other countries. To what extent do you think the benefits of the international shipping outweigh its drawbacks?

International trade certainly has its potential to bring about great advances and convenience for humankind. On a daily basis, we are eyewitnesses to how swift products worldwide are accessible to people.

In modernized countries we can observe a growing international trend in leisure time pursuits. Chinese teenagers wearing a H&M shirts in Shanghai hang out in Starbucks over a cup of coffee in much the same way as their American counterparts do in New York. Additionally, hypermarkets in this day and age offer a variety of goods which was directly transported from other countries ranging from Turkish sweets to Japanese salmons. International trade has surely been providing people with the opportunities to stay closer to the whole world.

Besides, international trade has promoted the development of global economy. In particular, the import of goods like gas, oil and other crucial natural resources enabled China to develop at a staggering rate. After joining the World Trade Organization, the Chinese government benefits substantially from the trade system and achieved a great success in the global trade business. Practically each year, China exports numerous of products and earns a big sum of foreign currency.
However, some trade protectionists would argue that the international trade has imposed harm to the interest of manufactures and labor workers of their nations. They asserted that workers would be confronted with the threat of losing jobs provided that the imported goods are relatively cheaper. This argument is, in fact groundless and oversimplified. According to the Monetarism, the flow of goods in an international basis will stimulate the efficiency of manufactures and the profit from the modernized field will remain considerable.

Nevertheless, it is quite obvious that the benefits of international trade far outweigh its drawbacks in light of the convenience and economic stimulus it brings about.
