Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Advertising is the most important cause of unhealthy eating habits.

With the rapid development of the market economy, advertising has become an indispensible aspect of our modern life by influencing the living habits, including the eating habits. And people differ in their attitudes towards whether the advertising is the major cause of unhealthy eating habits. Some one believe so, others hold a different opinion. The information I have collected for years leads me to agree that there are some other reasons to this issue.

It is true that the advertising lay bad impacts on eating inappropriately. Advertisements showed on the television mislead people thinking eating snakes or instant foods are the fashion to follow. For example, children and youngsters assume that having lunch at KFC or McDonald is popular among their peers. Some of them persuade their parents to give them allowance to eat the less nutrient hamburgers and potato chips at the fast food restaurants. And this issue has become a public concern. It is the advertisements that are blamed to encourage children eating unhealthily by parents and teachers in recent years.

No one can deny that the fast working and living paces contribute to push people to ignoring apropable eating. In modern society, seldom people do not live a rush life. People, especially the adults, fill their schedule with working and studying new skills, regardless of their social classes. Both the employers and employees stay up late to do extra work, writing articles, preparing speeches, drawing diagrams and translating essays. They spend as little time as possible caring about their daily meals. Hardly can they have a decent diner. It is clearly to see that heavy social stress makes people to put away their trash meals.

Last but not least, the great progress made by the food industry and agriculture propels people to have modern but less nutrient food. Like other industries, food industry improves dramatically in the last few decades. Preparing food has become increasing easier to the most city residents. But as some experts point out the amount kind of food grows, while that of the healthy food declines. In modern cities seldom residents face the danger of starvation, but quite a lot have no access to healthy food. This issue has drawn the public's concern and attention. It is indisputable that the development of society forces people to change their eating habit.

To sum up, from what we have discussed above, we can safely draw the conclusion that although the advertising do have bad effects on culturing people's bad eating habits, it is the advance of science and technology, the prosperous economy and the never-ending changing fashion that decide what and when people eat.

Hardly can a person get through his or her life without confronting any failures. People differ in their attitudes towards them. When faced with fails, some one remains optimistic and keeps trying; others feel desperate and give up. And, for my part, I totally agree with the former group of people for the following reasons.

Most of all, positive attitudes towards life, including the failures, always leads you a path to success. Due to our positive attitudes towards failure, we can stand up from where we fall. As every one knows, the famous American inventor Edison who invent so many stuffs has failed thousands of times when experimenting the bulbs. Imagine if he gave up in the middle, what his life, our life and even the whole world will be? It is clearly that looking things positively will help us succeed.

Secondly, being optimistic at the hard times is essential to cultivating our characters and the spirit of never giving up. According to the surveys from some psychological laboratories, people who can think things in a positive way usually have more favorable personality. Take my little brothers Tai and Lee as example. Once both of them failed a exam, Tai made his decision to try hard next semester, while Lee totally gave up that course complaining that subject is beyond him. Undoubtedly, Tai is more successful and popular among the peers than his brother. And Lee's pessimism let his school life miserable.
It is indisputable that the attitudes towards failures have tremendous impact on our lifestyle and life.

Last but not least, keeping energetic and active also affects on the people around us. No one can deny that the ways our friends and parents dealing with difficulties and failures influence us directly and indirectly. It is common sense that pessimistic children have parents who treat fails negatively. So we should be careful about our manners processing troubles and failures, it may have an infection on our friends and children.

To sum up, from what we have discussed above, we can safely draw the conclusion that when facing failures and tragedies in life, keeping positive and happy will give us a helping hand to get through those hard days.

Nowadays, that teachers talking about politics and society problems in class has become a public concern in our society. Increasing number of people, including parents and sociologists, are becoming to realize that these acts may influence their children dramatically and cause many problems. And, for my part, I totally agree that teachers should not show their social or political opinions to the students in and after class.

Most of all, the political and social views are the personal preferences that people should justify them by themselves. It is a general thought that the teachers' values and attitudes towards life and society can easily have an impact on their students, especially the children and youth. When we are young, we can not judge many things justifiable by ourselves. So our teachers' inappropriate political ideas may directly and indirectly have some bad influence on the students. For the students' good, teachers should be careful about their political views, it may have an infection on our friends and children.

In addition, the divergence of political views can bring about arguments and conflicts which may destroy the relationship between teachers and students. It is not a rare case that, the teachers and students become opponents because of the parties or statesmen they support. As some surveys show that, once people's politic opinion diverges, they are more favorable to hold prejudice on each other and more likely to dispute each other. In order to build good images and impressions of teachers, they should really watch out their words and implys about politics in front of the students.

Last but not least, teachers have the responsibility to instruct and instill knowledge and right values of life to students instead of displaying their comments on the policies or politicians. Take my college physics teacher for example. He is very energetic but a little radical in politics. He usually go raptures at the merely mention of the political news. Once he opened his shell, he will never stop complaining until the bell rang. His passion on policies has really become a problem puzzling us for a long time. So it is not appropriate for teachers to show their political and social opinions in class.

To sum up, from what we have discussed above, it is safely to draw the conclusion that teachers had better not express their political or social attitudes to their students.

When facing choosing jobs, people's opinions differ into two main groups. Some claim that their jobs must be highly paid, and the length of vacation time will not bother them. However, the other group of people, especially people of younger ages, prefers the work with more vacations, and they do not care about the salary. For my part, the experience I have gained leads me to believe that people can not be successful and really happy without enough money.

It is true that life without pleasure will be tedious and miserable. Vacation time ensures people to have a larger portion of their life to do what they want to experience, such as spending time with their close friends and relatives, or take a trip to some tropical island. Those stuffs are definitely attracting to people who want to take a full use of their lifetime having fun. Take myself as example. One of my greatest dreams is to travel around the world with my family in the future. However, without enough deposit, those kinds of dreams can never come true.

Furthermore, with the rapid development of the market economy, people's living standard and need of money also rise. Imagine that, if one of our family members was diagnosed with a sever disease. But as his/her closest relative, we can not even afford the treatment. How awful and desperate we may feel and suffer? It is clear to see that a job with little payment can not guarantee our life with joy always.

Finally, no one can deny that high salary vocations might acquire us more energy and time on it, but it also brings us satisfaction about our successful careers which appeal people as well as the vacations,  from some aspects.  For example, there are millions of people without a career claim that their life is more meaningful and enjoyable than those rich gays who waste all their life on work. But take a glimpse of the life of the people who devote themselves to careers, we can find their pride and satisfaction on their fantastic work which have positive impacts on the society.

To sum up, from what have been discussed above, comparing with the benefits and drawbacks the job with enough payment and little vacation still weight over those with lots of vacations.
