ISSUE 130: "How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society."


Agree partly

START: Admit that children are the main stream to lead the society’s destiny. EX: Old generation will be out-of-date in future, and children should burden the responsibility.
1.
They should be taught in order to achieve a solid knowledge foundation for future dev.
2.
Social networking is also important apart the specialty.
Ex: people now are connected and contact by facebook or IM. These networking skills will help someone to find a new trace of their life. And a better society should also contain a reliable connection in certain besides the contributions.
3.
However, they should not be patterned in one model and instead, Parent should help them to form their own personalized characteristic.
EX: China cultivates a lot of so called well-educated students, but no one achieve great contributions such as noble prize.
EX2: Larry Ellison (Oracle CEO), End his education in UIUC in 2nd year and get some attainment by himself in computer database aspect. And later get a lot attainment in data digging which means a big fortune to the society. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_Ellison)
END: Two sides should all be concluded.


ISSUE 50: "In order to improve the quality of instruction at the college and university level, all faculty should be required to spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach."


Agree some, but neglect all faculties should work off-campus. 大+小-

Work outside helps instructor to gain some practical experience and then apply it into courses.
2.
It helps professors to establish some relationships between company and univ.
Then if they got some problems, they can also contact company assisting them to solve.
Or they can exploit some co-op projects for recommending students working in companies as intern. EX: North-eastern UNIV has a successful co-op program.
3.
But not all of the faculties should spend time on off-campus. Some of them are tends to research more than instructor. And also, some realms are not suitable for working outside.
EX: Theoretical Mathematics, Mathematic Financial, etc.
END: Whether instructors should work off-campus should be determined by several factors. Fully investigation should be done before get a conclusion.

ISSUE 48: "The study of history places too much emphasis on individuals. The most significant events and trends in history were made possible not by the famous few, but by groups of people whose identities have long been forgotten."

Partly agree

1. agree the achievements made by groups. EX: 1.Italian artists & Van Gogh 2. YiHeTuan
2. should not deny the contributions of individuals(disagree the statement of not by the famous few....)

EX:Lincoln, Eisenhower
3. should consider that both of them are important and sometimes they are united in one forms. Individuals are the leader of group.

ISSUE 153: "Students should bring a certain skepticism to whatever they study. They should question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively."
Agree

1.
Skepticism makes perfect. Sometimes sk can found the errs in one theory.
EX: theory purposed to consider that Earth is the center of the cosmos, and then someone sk it and correct this amusing theory.

Also it will train the ability of one’s cognition. And student can be more logical than before.
EX: Some university has set up a course call logical, and now we can train it by ourselves.

What’s more, it will form one’s own personality. Without skeptical spirit, one can only learn what provided like a machine.
EX: Lot of us are tend to only accept what given by instructor rather than thinking and question it, that’s why we cannot be a majestic person.

( A brief supplement for pros of sk ) But some fully considerations should be done before skeptical it, or one will be Cynicismcynicism.
EX: Cynicism. People skeptical everything and eventually they are insane in skeptical. Skeptical what just for skeptical, meaningless.

END: Skeptical should be controlled with consideration or someone maybe a cynicism




ISSUE 208: "The way people look, dress, and act reveals their attitudes and interests. You can tell much about a society's ideas and values by observing the appearance and behavior of its people."

1. 从appearance expose personality处论证.用gentleman\hip-hop guy\kawaii girl排比论证
2.(重点)从behavior处论证.强调behavior比appearance更重要,列举eye contact,举例面试中的behavior的影响.最后用<当幸福来临>作为例证（可能例子和实际电影有点偏差，貌似有点忘记了whatever）论述behavior to attitude
3.既然是fundamentally agree那就是不完全肯定，这里就写behavior有可能会伪装。不过后半部分说，随着时间推移，伪装会被暴露





Argument 127: The vice president for human resources at Climpson Industries sent the following recommendation to the company's president.
"In an effort to improve our employees' productivity, we should implement electronic monitoring of employees' Internet use from their workstations. Employees who use the Internet from their workstations need to be identified and punished if we are to reduce the number of work hours spent on personal or recreational activities, such as shopping or playing games. By installing software to detect employees' Internet use on company computers, we can prevent employees from wasting time, foster a better work ethic at Climpson, and improve our overall profits."

banning Internet cannot conclude that staff will not waste time anymore, they can waste time in other forms….
2.
How can we identify it? Maybe it is the virus that access into Internet. Then, should we be blamed for that matter?
3.
Some works are depended on Internet, such as online supporting. How can we continue work after being prohibited to Internet?--- Personally speaking, the third rational is less than usual.
Conclusion: It is not wise to launch this action unless more evidences could be offered.
