独立: 15 家庭 Some people think one’s working is more important than being with one’s family. 071020
Life is separated into two parts: one is working, and the other is being with family. When putting them in an order according to their importance, I would definitely agree that family is much more crucial than people’s work. My points are listed as follow.
First and foremost, there is natural bond between family members, which connects them not only through the kinship, but also the deep love and concern in hearts. For one thing, it is impossible for everyone to change who to be in the family; however, we are able to change our work places and find some new coworkers. For another, in most cases, people inside a family would have inborn trust in each other, while the dishonest behavior, like telling a lie to or juggling on one’s coworkers, could be seen anywhere among a company. Because the relation inside a family is perennial and trustworthy, it plays a more significant role than that in work place.
Home is the place where gives us a sense of safety and freedom. In other words, people would not need to worry about some sever blames or being restricted. As mentioned above, it is the love that connects family members closely together, but it is not that case when people work. Instead of love, people compete with others for the sake of benefits. And we all know that the competition for benefits must give rise to stress, as well as the sense of uncertainty. Likewise, people in the job market might try best to relieve and remove the stress and uncertainty by getting into a higher position, but when reaching their goals, they probably find that new challenges are coming around. That’s why old saying goes that home is a serene bay for every stressed-out heart from work.
Admittedly, working offers people a sense of accomplishment that they might not able to attain at home. Nevertheless, let’s assume that if they can find no one to share with or celebrate for this victory together, would they still feel the same excited about it? The answer is absolutely no. As for plenty of people, they work hard just to make their family enjoy a better and happier life, so the final goal for them is not to earn decent salary or get to a higher position at work, but to take enjoyment in the harmonious family relationships. In this way, if one could partake the accomplishment s/he make in the work place, it is possible that his/her sense of pride might be strengthened. On the contrary, without the support from family, one might feel disappointed and lonely even holding the victory from work.
From the above discussion, people should take the family more seriously than their jobs, since, at the work place, they might not receive the same amount of love and trust, provide the sense of safety and freedom, or enjoy the long-lasting accomplishment.
