   在电视机时代，阅读书籍已经没有原来那样重要了。人们从电视上学到的东西丝毫不比从书本中学来的少。
position: 在电视时代，电视已经成为一个重要的传播媒介。但是，书籍，作为知识传播的一个重要媒介，在这个电视盛行的年代，更应该发挥其重要作用。
point1：在电视时代，电视已成为知识传播的一个重要的媒介。其一，它的时效性；其二，它的生动性；其三，它的生动性 。
point2：与电视相比，书籍在传播知识上，仍有得天独厚的优势。其一，它的深刻性。电视节目对知识的传播一般是概括性的，一般不会深究，所以如果你要深入了解某领域的知识，必须要在书籍中寻找。其二，书籍在时间上具有灵活性。电视节目一旦错过了，我们就再也不能看到了，但书籍却能让我们反复地回味。其三，书籍的方便性。书籍可以随身携带，但电视却不能；其四，书籍的对知识传播的全面性。电视节目有选择性的选择有限的知识传播，比如：电视只会传播他们认为重要的知识，或者就目前来讲，非常有用的知识，但是书籍对知识的传播是系统而全面的。
point3：在考虑到书籍对传播知识的重要性，我们也不应该放弃电视在传播知识的优势，所以，在知识爆炸的今天，为了更好地掌握知识，我们应该以书籍为主，同时也要充分利用电视在知识传播上的优势。

2.        However, the speaker overlooks several respects in which books are inherently superior to television as a medium for learning.
3.        The speaker also ignores the decided tendency on the part of owners and managers of television media to filter information in order to appeal to the widest viewing audience, and thereby maximize profit.
4.        Another compelling argument against the speaker’s claim has to do with how well books and television serve their respective archival functions.
