The advent of words in human history bring us into civilization in which human records their experience or thoughts with their pens with all kinds of styles.two distinctive  forms of which,imaginative works such as novels,films, fairy tales, and legends ,and factual accounts ,both play important roles in  recording.some persons contend that the former is more important because they shape and focus reality which the latter simply report literally,so they have a more lasting signifance.in my view,however,imaginative works do present us a more meaningful picuture of human experiece,but not always an accurate one.in fact, both recording forms are equally important because each of which plays different functions in human recording.
Firstly,imaginative works, by their vivid description,queer imagination,and ???imagination,gain their popularity in large number of readers and in recording history. Built on the historical background,,writers play writers, fill this house with their specifi c stuffs.the film,TITANIC ,which demonstrated us the  most magnicant ship in the world,  won several awards in 1998, and gained great popularity among audience. The historical event do occurred, but if it was taught with  literally words,it may drown all the audience. the vivid creative story present the audiece such an impressive memory of such an ordiary event, so their influence last several years,decades,and even generations.
However,due to creator’s creation,their work could hardly always presents a true historical look. Just as one form of arts,the works do not need to comply with the history,are not afraid even  to distort it,provided they can catch readers,audiece and gain profits.those who do not understand history may think the love story on TITANIC have truly taken place,.in this sense,such creative works can not assume the official task of recording history,whereas factual accounts can.
   As another form of historical recording. Factual accounts provide a true look, pale though ,of history. Based on substantial  and solid evidence, the writers have to report the events truly and objectively, he are not allowed to referred to imagine stories to stuff his article,and fabricate details .consequently,they can present us a true and original look of events, so they have more historical value than the imaginative ones.

Imaginative works may last long in people’s memory, but may less historical value at the same time. factual accounts carry more historical information,though they may have less attractivity and popularity than the imaginative works.
