The extended family (grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles) is less important now than it was in the past.

Nowadays, the phenomenon that extended family is playing less significant role in society than it was in the past is causing increasing attention. People's opinions are definitely divergent(好词.). Overwhelming majority agree, while others cast doubts（好句~）. As far as I am concerned, the less essential impact of extended family is extremely obvious, due to the tendency of nuclear family, less opportunities to reunion（好词~） and people's further distance in the marketing-led society.

In the first place, it is disputable that the size of the family is smaller and smaller. All around the world, people seem to realize that nuclear family contributes maximally to the better life, which, however leads to less care for the old and the great gag between the old and the young. I witness the change by myself. I used to live in a（an） extended(extend有的有点多了,建议替换.) family, which was very typical at that time. When we were forced to move, I cried sadly for departing from my grandparents and uncles. However, after ten years living merely with my parents, I am used to the life now,（这里能举例就好了~~~） and almost every citizen lives in a nuclear family. Consequently, I consider nuclear family more important than extended family.

In the second place, under no circumstance may we ignore（倒装出现叻！！！） the fact that so busy are people that they just rarely have time to reunion, so it is impossible to feel the warmth and love very often, as a result, people tend to further the distance. For instance, in China, the Spring Festival and the Mid-autumn Festival contribute maximally to the connection of family members. However, people can spare no other time on the reunion, which all the members present. Therefore, the lack of sufficient time leads to the lack of contact ion, and ultimately reduces the positive impact of extended family.（这段的例子诉述的相当好啊!~~~~~）

Last but not the least, people, especially the young, seem to place more emphasis on money, instead of family love, in the marketing-led society now. Though busy people are, they have ability to visit relatives during the weekends, or any time they want. Nevertheless, people spend endless time on owning money and play, therefore sparing no time on keep in touch. And the young generation pays more attention on the computers, western festivals with friends, while just ignoring the relatives.

From what I have discussed above, I may now safely draw the conclusion that the status of extended family does lack the essential impact nowadays(好句啊~~~), which leaves something to be desired. People should realize the importance of extended family, always spare time visiting relatives, then our society will full of family love and warmth.
