    The author asserts that Adams Reality is obviously better than Fitch Reality and Adams would be the wise choice if someone wants his home to be sold quickly and at a good price, which I cannot go all the way with.

    First of all, the number of agents cannot represent the level of the company's business, although Adams has more agents than Fitch, from which many agents work only part-time. Without giving any other details, it is quite possible that the ability of the agents in Fitch is much higher than that of the agents in Adams. At the same time, the number of agents who are responsible for one business is limited. Adams' numerical superiority cannot bring more advantages for single business, like selling someone's home.


    Secondly, the fact that Adams has higher price of home sales in average than Fitch last year may not reflect today's. Even if that situation would last for some time beyond nowadays, it still indicates little support to Adams' higher level. Maybe the houses sold by Fitch cost much less than those sold by Adam's, or Adams focus most of its energy on large customers or expensive styles that increases its sales in average but would have no sufficient experience and ability to deal with individual business or common house. In similar reason, Adam's more revenue than Fitch's also tells us little.


    In order to convince us, the author also provides his own experiences to compare the two estate firms. However, his comparison contains several logical flaws. Similar to the flaw involved in the previous paragraph, situation in the past may not be the same nowadays, the experiences ten years ago and last year cannot be compared to get an objective conclusion. Even if the author's experiences in the past also apply to today's conditions, we cannot overlook the differences between the two houses, which may cause the difference of their selling time. Probably the location of the former house is remote or the house style is old that taking four months to sell is an excellent job, while the latter house has much better location conditions and compelling construction styles that should not have cost Adams one months to sell.


    Finally, even if Adams is really better than Fitch both in the level of speed and price. His advice that we should use Adams is unreasonable. The author make a false suppose that all the people who want to sell home must choose a real estate firm. In fact, estate firm is only a slight factor that influences the sale of the house. Other factors such as the conditions of the house and the interest of buying house of local potential customer also play a significant role, and the intermediary fees may not worth the saving they bring. As a result, selling house without agents may also be a considerable opinion.


    To sum up, without providing more details about the two estate firms such as the ability of each agent, the focus of the estate firms and the price and cost of the houses they have already sold, we cannot make a decision which one is better. And if the profit the estate firm brings cannot worth what we cost, we could choose to sell the home all by ourselves without the agents.
