The lecture holds the opposite idea on whether the paint of a woman was actually drawn by Rembrandt, while the reading considered the style of the paint was not consist. Scientists recently solved the problem above.

The lecture pointed out the pigment of the paint wasn’t the originally, and some people made the lady in the paint looked more formal one hundred years ago in order to increase the value of the paint. The reading portrait worn style of the lady in the paint wasn’t consisting with the position of herself actually.

Based on the change of the paint in its pigment, the lecture explained that the cloth of the lady in the picture was simple light color, so the light was indeed reflected by the cloth onto her face. But the reading draw the conclusion that the shadow and light were not fit together, which lead to the doubt.

The wood size of the paint was the third argument between the lecture and the reading. To make the paint more valuable, some even glued other wood pieces with the original work, making the paint bigger than before. There is fact that the wood piece from this paint was the same as that of other work of Rembrandt’s.
