PPD测试结果报告

大概还有兄弟姐妹要测，说说我的经历，给大家参考。
星期一做的皮试，今天去看结果，医生量了肿块的大小，直径8mm，然后说要跟我谈一谈，呵呵，我觉得不妙，赶紧问她是阳性还是阴性，她说是阳性，但是她又跟我说了，因为我来自中国，那肯定打过BCG Vaccine，所以阳性的结果有可能是因此而来的，为了确定究竟有没有感染，要和我的医生谈过之后，做进一步检查。
想想大不了就是检查呗，就安下心等她给我的医生打电话，结果她们俩说了一会，我的医生告诉她我这个该算阴性，最后还是填了阴性。
下面是我找到的有关说明：
What does a negative result mean?
It can mean that the person has not been infected with TB germs.

or

It can mean that the person was tested too soon after breathing in the germs. It takes a number of weeks after becoming infected by the germ for the body to react to the skin test. If this happens, the test will have to be repeated again after 3 months.

It can mean that the person's body defenses are weakened and unable to react to the skin test, even though he/she is infected. When this happens, another type of test is given.
Sometimes, the person with a negative skin test may be given medicine to take as a preventive measure if he/she has spent or is spending a lot of time near someone who has TB.

What does a positive result mean?
It means that TB germs are in the body. Although the person is infected by TB germs, it does not mean that he/she has TB disease.

这样看来，阴性的结果倒也不一定就是好事，阳性的结果也不会有想象中的那么坏了。

哎呀，这个是指乙肝疫苗吧。我两年前打过的，那按道理应该是起包包的，可我拿不出证据的话，医生看来会让我做检查的吧，这样一来很麻烦的。

yilan，BCG好像就是卡介苗吧，是预防肺结核的疫苗。据医生说是中国人都打过，所以没问我要record。
我有一个primary clinician，是买保险的时候指定的，我要去看病的话得先去找她，不过我从来没看过病，所以根本都没见过她，只知道她是内科的。打疫苗的这个是免疫部门的。

我觉得我们的情况差不多，一般来说阳性的ppd，需要进一步作x光检查的，当然大部分人都没事的。如果真发病了，症状很严重的。

记得在国内，每年都作x光检查，然后印一个肺部阴影正常，也许因为我们打了疫苗，所以ppd对我们都没什么用吧。

anyway, ppd positive 不是什么严重的事情。
