For instance, even though many companies have allowed their employees to wear casual dresses during work, many white-collars, especially working on rigorous jobs such as stoke broker and lawyer, choose to behave with decorum and wear neat formal dresses like black suits, good matching ties, good matching leather shoes. They are not required to dress and behave like this, and yet they choose to perform in this way just in order to demonstrate that:" Yep, we are neat guys". To support another example one need look no further than the youngsters who are fond of hip hop music. Wearing pretty loose and expensive clothes, getting sport hat on askew, wearing somewhat shining metal pendants, these young are expressing their tough, cool, street boy attitude. Besides, without the intention to show out their attitudes or interests, beaucoup individuals choose their own wearing and behaving styles just because they like these styles and they feel comfortable with them. these people have been unobtrusively and imperceptibly influenced by their attitudes and interests. For example, people who are keen on doing sports always wear loose sport clothes not because they want to tell everybody they are good at sports just for the reason that they like this lifestyle and they are always ready to run and to play baseball or basketball.

In addition, It is feasible to summarize the overall character of a group of people who share the same attitudes and interests and hence it is practicable to obtain the same values and ideas from the titanic group---society. Values and ideas in society illustrate something's degree of importance, with the aim of determining which lifestyle or action is the best to live or do. What's more, values and ideas that individuals hold establish the foundation of the individuals' life and then influence individuals' every aspects during daily life, appearance and behavior included. Based on the former analysis that one's attitudes and interests can be reflected through the observation of appearance and behavior, the values and ideas of the society can be acquired through the identical method. In China, complicated and even boring as the etiquette is on both formal and informal occasion, it cannot be avoided or ignored. Therefore, the politeness that Chinese guys behave with all the time demonstrates that, in Chinese value, importance of courtesy cannot be overstressed.

Moreover, an avalanche of information flooding into the society, ideas and values becoming not as traceable as they are before, people are able to choose a myriad of lifestyles and thus merely through observation of appearance and behavior cannot the ideas and values of the society be obtained. Especially in a individual-focus and free society, based on the fundamental values and ideas such as freedom and democracy, every people has the right to choose one's own values which cause no harm to others. Consequentially, to obtain different values and ideas of the society becomes complicated and laborious.

Grounded on basic values and ideas, multitudes of values and ideas in modern society arise and vanish every day and night. Subsequently, study of ideas and values of society is really a tough job that many significant aspects should be included and considered in detail.
