Therefore, our life has gone through a obvious change. However, the speaker overstates the significance of camera as a tool than written records.

Admittedly, compared with written records, the process of events like conferences, traffic accidents and basketball games and the like can be recorded more vivid and accurate can by cameras. Thanks to the invention of camera, we are allowed to watch NBA games at home. The video camera installed in bank can help police to catch robbers, at the crossroad could help to recognize those speeders. Nowadays, we are able to listen the most prestigious professor`s classes on TV or computer which have been recorded by camera. Coaches can record the movements of players and in this way players can be trained more effective. It is no doubt that video camera has become a indispensible tool in our society.

However, even its accurate and convincing record, video camera still cannot replace the role of written records for the following reasons. Firstly, video camera is so expensive that it is not as popular as pen and paper. Especially in developing countries, most of their citizens cannot afford to a video camera. Writing on paper is the chief method that they are used to record events and their feelings. On the other hand, compared with paper and pen, video camera is not portable. Therefore, in many circumstance, pen are more useful than camera. Furthermore, written records can not only records the processes of events but also the author`s feeling, inner emotions which cannot be recorded by camera.

To sum up, according to the reasons and analysis mentioned above, due to the indispensible role of written records, the importance of video camera still cannot be compared with written records, in spite of the accuracy of camera`s records.

With respect to study, we can acquire knowledge out of school not only by reading books but also by videos of professors` lectures which have been recorded by camera. Additionally, it is the precious video recorded in battlefield that allow us feel the cruel of wars more vivid than paper documents. All of this have proved that video camera has become a indispensible tool recording our lives in our society.
